You walked down the candlelit pathway, leading to the bed.

A smile was still planted on your face.

You turned to look back at your boyfriend who leaned on the doorframe

"Did you do all this?"

his eyes glistened, "i wanted to do something special for ya babe."

he walked down the stairs, stretching his arms out for a hug.

you wrapped your arms around his neck.

resting your forehead on his. before kissing his irresistible lips.

"your so cute." you said, staring into his beautiful eyes.

"you bring out the best in me babe."

you were interrupted when you heard the door click open

"dont mean to intrude. you guys ordered a few .... (Y/N)?"

butterflies formed in your stomach when you heard the familiar sound of your name.

"Lizzie?" your arms dropped from Niall's neck, falling to your side when you saw her.

The girl you hadn't spoke to in months.

The girl you hadn't seen since Niall's concert.

The girl you once called your best friend.

She set the tray of alcohol on the table next to the bed.

she must've been just as surprised to see you, because she didn't say anything either

Niall cleared his throat, "im sorry. but, do you two know eachother?" he asked, scratching the back of his neck.

"um, yeah. Niall, this is Lizzie. Lizzie, you know Niall."

she smiled at him.

but looking right back at you.

"so, how have you been?" she asked

"alright."

"you look really good, (Y/N)." she weakly smiled.

"thanks."

she frowned, looking down at her feet.

you weren't really that mad at Lizzie anymore.

You weren't one to hold grudges either.

Lizzie was your bestfriend, and you missed her like crazy.

"Niall, could you give us a minute?" you cocked your head toward the door, implying that he leave the room.

"oh, yeah. of course babe." he headed out the door, leaving you alone with your once best friend.

you sighed, once you heard the door shut.

"did you cut your hair?" you looked her up and down.

her blond hair, now shoulder length, her green eyes framed behind glasses.

she looked up, grabbing a piece of her hair and twisting it in her fingers, "oh yeah. my split ends were really bad."

this was the most awkward things had ever been between you two. considering you've been friends since 3rd grade.

"this is so stupid Lizzie."

"god, I'm so glad you think so too." she said, running up to you giving you a hug.

"i can't believe we actually went this long without talking" you laughed

"we really need to catch up. I have so much to tell you. and obviously you have stuff to tell me too." she winked, nodding her head toward the door.

you turned to see Nialls head poked through the small entrance of the door.

"im sorry. but Franks calling for a Lizzie?"

Lizzie huffed, " I have to get back to work. but, we have to get together soon, okay?" she smiled

you nodded, giving her a hug, before she left the rooftop.
