Chapter 14

Akiras P.O.V:

"How did this happen?" I asked still looking at Mahira.

"She got into an accident with a car." The doctor said.

"Akira? I thought you were in the taxi." Sandhya said coming behind me.

"Doctor my friend was with her in a car his name is Jai!" I said panicking.

"It wasn't a car it was a taxi. Mahira was in a taxi and no one was found with her expect the injured man from the other car." The doctor explained.

"Akira what happened?" Sandhya asked.

I moved and Sandhya looked through the window and she saw the unconscious Mahira.

"What happened? She is okay?!" Sandhya asked.

"Mahira is in a coma." I said laughing.

"Where is Jai?!? Wasn't he supposed to be with her?!" Sandhya asked.

"I don't know."

"Akira!! I heard what happened, is Mahira okay?!?" Jai said coming into the hospital.

"Jai weren't you supposed to be with her?" Sandhya asked.

"We got into an argument and she angrily left." Jai explained.

"Ms.Kapoor?" A officer said coming my way.

"Yes?" I answered.

"We found out that it was the drivers fault in the other car. Would like to press chargers against Dev Mehra?" The officer asked.

"What?!? Dev?! Wasn't he injured too!" Sandhya said.

"Yes but that doesn't mean it wasn't his fault. He passed a red light." The officer said.

"Officer can you maybe come back tomorrow? We are facing issues right now." Jai asked.

The officer left and said he would come back tomorrow so I should decide if wanted to press charges or not.

"Are you going to press chargers?" Sandhya asked.

"Sandhya go. Please." Jai said.

"Akira is my friend! I'm not going to go!" Sandhya said.

"If you were her friend you would leave." Jai said.

Sandhya left angrily but Jai did the right thing I needed to be left alone right now. Jai gave me a pat on the back and left. I looked at Mahira and smiled she wasn't supposed to leave me!! Not right now!

I found a seat and sat down in frustration I didn't know what to do. On one hand I have my sister who is in a coma and the other hand I have Sandhyas love.

2 hours later Jai came back with coffee.

"It took you 2 hours to get coffee?" I joked but in vain.

He took a seat by me and I took the coffee.

"You okay?" Jai asked.

"I haven't cried yet. So no." I said being honest.

"I told you it was a bad idea getting involved in this love story!! You should've never interfered in Sandhyas and Devs love story." Jai said.

"What am I supposed to do now? Mahira is in a coma!!" I said.

Tears left my eyes and I started crying really hard.

"Why do bad things happen to good people!! Mahira is not supposed to be here!! She is supposed to be at home! Why couldn't this happen to me?!?" I cried.

"I think God has punished you enough Akira. You aren't going to press chargers are you?" Jai asked.

I wiped my eyes and looked at Jai once again, "No I'm not."

"Let's go home and rest. I don't think Mahira is going to go anywhere." Jai said.

I nodded because I didn't want to be in this hospital or any hospital anymore. I smiled at Mahira one last time and hoped she would wake up but she didn't.

Devs P.O.V:

"Let's see how you do in walking!!" The doctor cheered.

"Okay."

The doctor have me crutches and we walked down the hallway.

"Any news on the person I hit?" I asked.

"Yes but you know I'm not allowed to tell you, but I really hope you don't accidentally go to the left and find her!" The doctor said dropping a hint.

I smiled and walked with my crutches to the left. I saw a girl laying down and the face seemed familiar but I couldn't remember.

"Bhai! (Brother!) I found some info on the girl. Her name is Mahira Kapoor. And because of you she has fallen into a coma! Good job bro!" Sanjana said in a sarcastic voice.

"Shit. How could I do this?!? I'm so stupid!!" I said.

"We all agree on that! But seriously have a heart!" Sanjana said leaving.

I looked at the girl, Mahira, trying to remember who she was. I wish I never hit her, I don't know if the family will press chargers or not.

"Mr.Mehra?" A officer asked.

"Yes."

"I just got a call from Mahiras sister and she has dropped chargers. Her friend said she would tell me tomorrow but she told us sooner." The officer said leaving.

"Bhai? (Bro?) is that who I think it is?" Sanjana asked coming out of nowhere.

I looked at Mahira again and it all came back.

This chapter was boring!! But it was a information chapter so that's why.
