Today's the first day of my sophomore year and TRUST ME I did not want to be here. I was usually really hype for school but today just wasn't the day , I had a lot on my mind.
"Hey Niya! " said my bestfriend Alexia. We had meet in 7th grade, she said she thought I was gay so she wanted so be my friend, but since I'm not gay we didn't actually become friends until 8th grade since we had spanish together. We became super close she was always there for me and I was there for her also. She was my Ride Or Die.
"Hey lex" I said plainly
She frowned. "Whats wrong babe?" she said, You usually hella hype for the first day so you can show off your new stuff." she rolled her eyes.
She was right I loved showing off my new kicks and shit. I was kind of cocky, I needed to work on that.
"Nothing I just got a lot on my mind"
"Well you know I'm here if you need to talk." she smiled.
"Yeah"
"But anyways, whats your schedule look like" she said smiling, "I hope we have a class together!"
I gave her my schedule so she could look over it and compare it to hers. "OMGGG , niya ! We have 1st and 4th block together !" she said extra excited because we didn't have not one single class together last year. She tugged me arm and nearly pulled me over. "hurry up slow poke!" she said. I ran along with her until I accidentally knocked somebody over. I kept running but looked back wondering who it was, It was this girl that lived in my neighborhood, I didn't know her that well I didn't even know her name. The only thing I knew was that she was a senor.
About a minute or two later me and Alexia finally got to class. I have Lit for first block . I HATE writing and reading for that matter. I sat through the whole class bored out of my mind. I couldn't wait to go home.

After school lexi came by my house to work on a project. I know right. The first day and we already getting projects and shit.
"Niya?" Alexia said.
"Yeah"
"I know your not gay but.... Would you ever.... You know... Date a girl?" She grinned
I looked at her wondering why she had asked that. "Lex you know I fuck with guys" I said even though I hadn't been in a relationship with a guy in months.
"I know I just think you would make a cute stud" she blushed.
I smirked staring at her " oh really ?"
There had been a couple of occasions that I questioned my sexuality but I never really took it seriously.
"Yesss girl , Niya gettin' all the hoes !" she joked "shiiiit if you was gay I would smash!"
We laughed lex was funny, and for the first time I was really noticing how beautiful she was mixed with black ,Mexican, and a few other things, she had amazing skin , long hair and her eyes had a never ending darkness, I kinda liked that about her and would definitely date her also.
"Helllooo ! NIYA !" She said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Huh? Oh I'm sorry" I said startled "look lex I'm sorry but I gotta uh... do something , I'll see you tomorrow at school" I said getting up and walking her out the door in a hurry. As soon as she walked out I shut the door and ran to my room. I sat on the edge of my bed for about an hour thinking about Alexia, shes always called me babe but I never thought about it in that way. She always talked about how cute I would be as a stud and everything also but I took it as a joke. At one point there were even rumors that we dated because we were always together that I found out she started but we got over it. Sitting there and putting everything together had me thinking... did I have crush on my best friend ? Did she have a crush on me ? Did we like each other ? But I'm not gay and neither is she ? what ? Man am I confused.
