Just got a new page theme

I call it "saccharine sweet",

Diabetics call it "bittersweet".

Color splashed façade

Naïve cartoons at that

Childish sweetness.

Jellybean blue

Cotton candy pink,

Marshmallow yellow.

Tired of bleak blackness

Of harsh realities

Melancholic emptiness.

Eyes closed

Escapist dreams unbridled,

Fleeing, flying away.

Eyes opened abruptly

In front of me

An art was born.

I smiled wryly

Laughed at myself

Amused by my musings.

Back to reality

Staring at the by-product

Of monotony.
