Chapter 12- The future

In 6 months time
Moving day. This was the day Riley would move in with Farkle at their new place. The other one was far too small now and Farkle needed something that was closer to work. Riley worked at the local pre-school painting purple cats with all of New York's babies. Josh and Maya had found another place too with lots of room for all of their love.

2 years time:
Riley stroked the bump on her stomach that protruded her vision of her gangly feet. Farkle smiled lovingly at her and at the bump on the way to the hospital. He smiled as she squeezed his knuckles so hard that she broke his finger. He smiled when his son Carter Minkus arrived in Room 23 B at New York general hospital. Maya was there in an instant and was the 3rd one to hold the baby when it was born. She smiled and started crying but insisted it was allergies.

6 years time
Carter and Lily Minkus ran into their parents bedroom on Christmas Day. They jumped up and down on the bed until their parents awoke. Lily was just as clumsy as Riley was and fell head first off of the bed when Farkle awoke with a shock. She wasn't hurt and was giggling her little head off. Riley demanded that Farkle wake up and go and get an ice pack from the kitchen while she cradled little lily in her arms. Farkle didn't get very far at all. He was disrupted by a rapping against the window and the familiar face appeared at the frame. He pulled the lacy curtain back to Maya hart sitting on the fire escape. Josh closely followed his blue beanie covering little autumn's face.
"Hello Family." Josh shouted into the apartment and Riley and the Minki appeared at the door of the bedroom. Lily's long brown hair was covering her face and it was so log she often tripped up over it. Carter had a similar haircut to Donny Barnes and the same auburny hair colour his father had. Autumn looked exactly like her mother and was as giddy and sarcastically funny as the original. The Minki and The Matthews gathered around the Christmas tree area and began to open the presents. Riley helped Maya to sit down as she was heavily pregnant with her second child (a boy).
Riley's present- riley picked up the surprising heavy box and opened the purple lid where she found a tiny kitten curled up purring its little head off.
Farkle's present- He opened the dark blue box to see a vintage telescope laid there in purple velvet. The Minki ran over and smiled sweetly when he read the note that said "show us the stars daddy."
Carter's present- A go kart shaped like a pirate ship was seen knocking things over and whizzing around the apartment for days.
Lily's present- Lily opened the box to see a personalised cheerleading uniform with her name on the back there was also a matching doll in the same uniform.
Maya's present- Riley had taken her friendship ring a few days prior to get them engraved with their names on. Maya smiled happily though she looked like she was going to burst into tears.
Josh's present- Maya laughed her head off when Josh opened the new trombone she had got him and laughed even harder when she watched his face go red as he tried to play it.
Autumn's present- Autumn had developed her mothers taste of art and was delighted when she opened an easel set with her own finger paints. Riley said she was expecting a purple cat soon. Everything was perfect and fantastic and amazing up until the point that Maya felt her water break and she began to panic because her baby was coming. Josh ran downstairs to get the car and ordered Riley to get Maya's things. She did but not before tripping over and knocking an end table and letting it shatter all over the floor. She started to clean things up but was instructed by Farkle to go with Maya and leave it with him.

Leo Matthews was born at 9:58 on Christmas Day at New York general Hospital. He had a tuft of dark brown hair and chestnut brown eyes. Riley was the third person to hold Leo and the fourth was Farkle. They had loved and cherished every moment of it. The future was exactly the same. With love and happiness circling around all of the time.
