Luke finished frosting the cake that sat on my kitchen counter and then put his mouth to the end of the pipet and squeezed the last dollop of frosting into his mouth with a satisfied grin. I rolled my eyes and swatted at his shoulder but that just seemed to make him grin even wider.

"Oh sorry sugar, did you want some?" his voice was too sweet to be innocent.

"No I just thought that Mr. Blackbourne would have liked all of his frosting on his cake, not in your tummy," I gave him a half hearted evil eye and finished clearing away the counter.

After I'd gotten all of the random stuff that we'd used cleared off of the counter I ran a wash cloth under the tap. Luke looked at the cake, to me, and then back to the cake before shrugging and putting it into the fridge so that it would stay cool. Neither of us spoke while we cleaned up, and Luke took the opportunity to crank the volume on the stereo up. The stereo was loud enough that I could sing along and not hear myself, which was how I liked it.

I finished cleaning the counter with the wash cloth and threw the dirty wash cloth into the sink. When I returned to the kitchen, Luke was swaying around to Maroon 5's "Sugar". He saw me walk in and danced over to me until his hands settled on my waist and he was getting me to dance along with him and the song.

"Sugar, yes please. Won't you come and put it down on me?"

I laughed as he twirled me, and I ducked under his arm before doing it again in reverse, the song played and he continued to dip and twirl until I was getting dizzy.

".. need a little sweetness in my life," he winked and then suddenly he'd lifted me up and hugged my waist to his chest, his chin was pressed against my tummy and my hands braced his shoulders to feel more stable.

He spun us both in a circle, and I'm sure he would have done it until the song ended but we were both laughing too hard, and the room spun too much to keep going without getting hurt so he let me drop down to the floor and just hugged me in his warm arms. Together we swayed, and I pressed my nose to his shoulder, breathing in his scent. I closed my eyes as the song faded off but he didn't stop swaying, instead he started rocking us in a peaceful circle.

I could have died right then and been in the same place forever, because I'm pretty sure this is what Heaven is all about.

A sharp shock scorched my shoulder and I let out a small cry of pain, yanking myself away from Luke even though at the same time that's where I wanted to be. I looked at the front pocket of his plaid shirt was lit up, and I knew that's where the shock had come from. Luke frowned and grabbed my shoulder where the shock had gotten me and rubbing it.

"Sorry, I'll beat whoever did it up and then we can eat cupcakes while they be our eternal slaves, okay?"

I don't know how he did it, but the pain was lost and I laughed a little. He looked satisfied, and only then did he check his phone to see who had pressed the button. His eyebrows furrowed and I slipped my arms around his waist and peaked at his phone to see who'd done it. He smirked but lowered the phone and wrapped his spare arm around my waist, making it so I could see the screen.

Kota: Sorry I didn't realize your phone was there, can you tell Sang that I said sorry as well?

Kota: You're late.

I looked up at Luke but he wasn't replying to me, instead he was sending a text off to Kota but I'd lost interest, knowing it was something for Mr. Blackbourne's birthday but more interested in if he really had to leave just then. I felt bad about it but having nine boyfriends had it's perks, ie never actually being left alone for very long. I guess that wasn't a perk but it was something that I took comfort in.
