White Lightning was drinking from the stream when Wish came over and started talking. "Lightning, the other mares and I have been taking care of the fillies for awhile, and we're wondering if we can go do something while you and the others are here?" "I don't care, you and the other mares can go do something while the other stallions and I watch the fillies." "Thanks Lightning!"
"Stallions, come here please." said Lightning. The other stallions were gathering while Lightning started to speak. " We have to watch the fillies and colts while the mares are off doing some of their own things." " Why do we have to do it, at least one or two of the mares could have stayed?" said Warrior. " Because Warrior, the mares have been watching them for awhile now and the need to do their own things." Warrior didn't know what to say because he knew the mares have been watching over the fillies and colts, so he just went along with it.
After awhile, some of the stallions, including Lightning, were starting to get worried. One of the mares, Wakita, started to come running back. When she came to a halt she was out of breath and wheezing . "The... the others... the humans." "Slow down Wikita, catch your breath." spoke Warrior. After Wikita caught her breath she spoke in a terrified and slowly way. "The humans captured some of the other mares, Silver, Star, Wish, and I got out, but the others got captured and are being driven to a farm North of where we are. I heard one of the men speaking." After that, Lightning was a furious stallion and was beginning to come up with a plan to get them back.
