Chapter 3
-Another Naked Party-
"So I met the new kid," the new piece of information leaves my lips. Sam almost trips over her feet as we head towards our last hour, she gives me a double take "When?!"
I tuck a piece of my blonde hair behind my ear "When I left the cafeteria I took a nap in one of the meet up rooms. When I woke up he was sitting in one of the chairs reading a book." Weaving through the high schoolers and college students we turn into another hall. I glance at Sam as she says "Is he hot?"
"Just like his brother."
Her hand clamps on my wrist, pulling me to the side where we aren't in the way of any students. A little shocked at my best friend's action I face her as best as I could in the packed halls "What's wrong?"
She studies my face "Wait this mysterious new kid has a brother here?!"
I give Sam a single nod "Yeah." She purses her lips as if waiting for something. After a little more time passes she shouts "Who is he and who is his brother!"
I gap at her sudden burst before answering "His name is Adrian and his brothers Alex King." This time her jaw drops "W-what..."
I clear my voice "Yup."
She puts her hand to her forehead "Oh my..."
Nodding in agreement "I know."
Sam's unfocused eyes zero in on me "Since you seem to know these two facts it means you talked to him. What did he say?"
I chew my bottom lip "Nothing much, I asked him a couple of questions and he answered them. He's not mean just seems, uh, coldish or emotionless."
"That's it?" my friend questions me.
A small blush rise to my cheeks as I remember I have the hot guy's number in my phone. Sam's eyes narrow at my slightly flushed face "What is it? Tell me, did he make a move?!" I shake my head "I offered to show him around Cross Academy and we exchanged numbers if he needs help getting around."
Now that I think about it; it sounds a little ridiculous considering he's a King and the eldest which means we run in opposite paths. To be honest I don't think he'll contact me. Sam squeals while jumping up and down "I can't believe it! Someone has the balls to get your number and take you out!"
My face reddens even more "He only has my number for school things only! He didn't even ask me out and what's about getting balls to do that! I'm not an intimidating person!"
Sam puts a hand on my shoulder with a serious look on her face "If you weren't the one to approach me I would have stirred clear from you. You, Rose, have this essences that makes people stay away from you but are aware of you."
Her emerald green eyes un-focus once more as she seems to ponder "Sometimes I fantasize that you're a long lost or exiled princess in our school."
I scoff at her "Yeah okay," she takes her hand off my shoulder, "you need to stop reading all those fairy tale romance novels."
Sam's emerald eyes snap to mine "Hey don't diss it until you try it."
I roll my eyes as we arrive to my best friends designated door she opens the door and walks in. I continue my way down the less crowded halls. Almost approaching the place where my classroom rests I feel my phone start to buzz. Taking it out of my skirt pocket I answer it with a chirpy voice "Hello."
"Where are you at?" Faina's hushed voice reaches me.
I look at the approaching classroom door "Heading to class, why?"
