"Thunder and Lightning" (Mordecai x Rigby Yaoi)

Lightning

The Big Ben clock chimmed midnight as Muscle Man, Fives, Benson, Skips, Pops and Mordecai all laughed. They we're telling horror tales that had supposedly happened at the park. But everyone knew it was all fake.

As the others enjoyed their night of terror, Rugby was hiding upstairs secretly; shivering in fear under Mordecai's bed. He had feared this Halloween due to a thunderstorm that rumbled outside of the wooden house.
Sweat dripped down the small raccoon's face as his body clinched tightly. His muscles ached from this, but Rigby dis not care. He had been afraid of thunderstorms for many years; even when he was a small baby. Rigby then started to sob as thunder clashed onto the Earth with a flash of lightning. Tears streamed down his brown muzzle a fear washed over the small raccoon's body. Terror flooded in his mind like a hurricane. Was this fear?

Mordecai sighed as he and the others heard Rigby's terrified screams. Benson then looked over at Mordecai and placed a hand on his shoulder, "perhaps you should check on him. I bet he's terrified up there alone." Mordecai nodded and got up from the couch and headed upstairs. Suddenly, Muscle Man booed Mordecai. It startled the blue swallow a bit as he almost tripped down the narrow stairs. Muscle Man then got up and grinned, "are you really gonna see Rigby and take care of that baby?" Mordecai heard his friend laughed as he asked this insulting question. He nodded his head as he walked quickly up the stairs. Pops then glared at Muscle Man and scolded him, "shame on you! Rigby is very scared of storms! You should be ashamed of yourself, Muscle Man!" Benson nodded slowly and grinned, "I feel really bad for Rigby. He's been scared since he was a baby. Pathetic, honestly. No offence, Pops." Pops sighed and nodded with a cheerful chuckle. Muscle Man then asked, "who's telling the next story?"

As Mordecai walked up the stairs, he opened the bedroom door of he and Rigby's bedroom. A clash of thunder roared through the sky as a shriek was heard under the blue swallow's bed. He got on all four and looked underneath the small bed. Mordecai sighed. "Rigby? You okay, bro?" Rigby shakily nodded as tears streamed down his muzzle uncontrollably. Mordecai then reached out his hand and waited for Rigby to grab his big hand. But Rigby only shaked violently. Mordecai sighed and got up from under the bed. He stood up and lifted the bed as he saw Rigby shiver more and more each second. "Rigby," he gasped in pain as the bed began to fall onto the ground, "please get out from there!" Rigby heard this and sighed as he dashed towards the other side of the small room. Mordecai gasped as he dropped the bed. A loud thud made the whole house fall in a moment of silence. Mordecai then sighed as he sat down upon his bed and looked at Rigby; he watched his friend shake nervously and shyly as if it were already winter. Mordecai then patted the left side of his bed and looked at Rigby. "Come here, buddy," he cooed. Suddenly, another clash of thunder and a flash of lightning flooded the sky and air. Rigby almost sobbed again as he dashed and leaped onto the bed; tears streaming nonstop down his muzzle. Mordecai sighed and opened his arms for a warming hug. Rigby looked shyly at Mordecai and sighed as he sobbed into Mordecai's white chest. The swallow patted Rigby's back lovingly as he nuzzled his friend gently. Rigby only blushed and said nothing as his friend did this. Rigby then got up and looked shyly at Mordecai and smiled. He then hugged his friend shyly again and blushed a hot red.
"Thank you, Mordecai," Rigby sobbed heavily. Mordecai smiled and kissed his friend's forehead sweetly and stroked it tenderly. "Any time, Rigby."
