Tomorrow came and went and Michael was as nervous as a puppy in a new home. He would shake at the sight of her and feel his temperature rise as she walked near him. Michael was in trouble. Now what was he going to do? He just had to do something. As usual, he went on break when Meg did. The break room was empty. Only He and Meg were in there. This was it...This was the moment. He knew he had to make a move and fast. Michael stumbled a little and Meg chuckled at him. Embarrassed, he decided to laugh along with her since there was no way around the embarrassment he knew she realized. She introduced herself. JACKPOT! It was smooth sailing for Michael from here. He told her his name and she said she already knew. She had noticed him in the break room quite a bit when she was so she asked who he was. Michael quickly asked her if she would like to help out for inventory and she quickly accepted. 15 minutes sure does go by fast when talking to a pretty girl. They hit it off from the start.

Michael went back to his apartment that night with a smile that would shine brighter than the sun. He was in love. He didn't have buddies to brag to about her, he didn't call home either. He just whipped up a homemade pizza for himself and sat and watched a sappy movie. Michael was off the next day so he decided he would get caught up on his homework for the week. The day was Thursday and a wonderful day it was. Michael went to the college campus to study. The library was the study hall of choice as it always seemed the quietest. Some of Michael's classmates came up and asked him what was up. He just smiled and said "today is a good day!" Michael wasn't one for sharing his personal life. It wasn't that he was rude or anything, he just didn't feel right about it. He stuck to business when making conversation in school or work....usually; although he didn't mind sharing a joke or two from time to time.

I guess Michael has the mindset of what he thinks a lawyer would be like. You can't necessarily befriend people if you are going to take them to court and sue them at some point. It is hard to say what it might be like, but Michael mostly kept his distance anyway. College and work took up every bit of time Michael had anyway. He didn't want to become the classic college student who drops out because of too much partying. Michael wasn't much of a partier anyway. School was a big responsibility and Michael did everything he could to make honor roll each semester.

This day was different from the rest though. He did have a distraction. He couldn't stop thinking about Meg. Her beautiful face, that luscious smile and those gentle looking hands. He knew he needed to focus. After all, he was going to be working with her this weekend! Michael finished his studies in the late afternoon. He decided to take himself out to dinner so he didn't have to cook. Pete's Wings sounded like a good choice. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. The place was filled with students normally and the service was pretty fast. Michael went in and sat near one of the big screen TV's they had in the place. The brought out a fresh batch of popcorn which was another bonus about the place. Free popcorn is always good. Michael already knew what he wanted. An order of cheese sticks, a bowl of French onion soup and ½ a dozen of their hottest wings....and believe me when I tell you, they were hot, hot, hot! Don't forget the large coke. That was the edible fire extinguisher along with some celery and blue cheese. Wow!

Michael saw a couple of people he knew and waved from a distance. He didn't make a point to go over and sit with anyone though. In walked Meg and a couple of her friends. She looked different. She looked.....even more beautiful with her hair curled and her clothes pressed and flowing with her body. She was gorgeous! She didn't see Michael right away and Michael didn't make it a point to let her see him. Then she spotted him. She quickly left her girlfriends after a whisper in their ear and came to Michael's table. The conversation was small but just as wonderful as it was back in the store break room. He asked her if she and her friends would like to sit with him and she sat down across from him. Her friends went on to another table without her. Meg was smiling just like he had been all day. Could she be in love also? They talked about work and where each other was from. Michael shared his meal with Meg since there was no way he could eat everything. He wasn't much of a big eater and with Meg in his sights; he definitely did not have food on the brain. He was mesmerized by her. This was a day to remember, forever.
