How Do I Do This?

Finally, todays the day, I get to meet the great all powerful Kyrain, Abi told me yesterday that he was soon to return. This morning I was awakened to here he was a couple of hours away. Why am I so excited to meet a stranger?

Since I first started at Foxtrap I have been treated with respect, others heard of my test scores and who brought me to Foxtrap, I was told I would be put in the highest rank with Kyrain and others were threatened by that. I hated being treated as if I'm more important than anyone else. It was a burden my life is no more important than anyone elses.

I sat in my skin tight uniform I had to wear. Mine was black and had "Sails" written on my left rib-cage in purple. I was looking around the new room I was assigned in block A where Kyrain, Abi, and T.A. were also assigned. I was in Kyrain's old partners room. I had a huge desk full of accessories such as nail polish, curlers, straighteners, and makeup. Next to that was a huge dresser full of more uniforms with my new name on it and dresses. Foxtrap has special events almost every night. It kept the people who were isolated in here distracted from what was going on outside the concrete walls. Luckily I would be the few to go out of the walls often with Kyrain because of my scores. It didn't really bother me, I'd rather risk myself out in the open than never meet the sun again.

I began thinking back to what happened with T.A. he said he knew what I was, does that mean he knows? He said him and Kyrain are the best of friends does that mean maybe when I became unconscious I wasn't in the form I show. Maybe I was in Hyprom form and Kyrain knew and told T.A. to keep an eye on my until he got back? No, he would have killed me if he knew. Maybe it was my scores.

I heard a knock at my door breaking me from my train of thought, "Coming!" I shouted to my larger metal door not knowing if sound could even get through it. I scanned my key card and the door opened revealing a Abi standing in a petite dress that went to about her Knees, her hair was puffy and she had concern in her eyes as she looked me up and down.

"You know we have a gathering tonight right?" It looked like Abi was still in the middle of getting ready.
"I wasn't told so no."

"Well we're gonna get ready together then!" Abi walked into my room and went through my draws, "Wow you got the cutest dresses lucky!"

I looked at Abi confused, "What's this for exactly?"

"Well I mean the captain of block A is coming back and we need to introduce the newest part of the block A team as well! Kyrain hasn't had a partner for a year and a half now people have battled for this spot you're so lucky. Now come get ready!" A year and a half? Seems he blames himself for his partners death then.

"I'm gonna be up in front of everyone?" Oh great what happens if my eyes change color or I pass out and change or....

"Yeah but everyone knows about you and has met you anyway you'll be fine!" I looked at Abi as she went through my wardrobe looking at dresses then me.

"You know I can pick my own dress right?" Abi looked at me and chuckled.

"Yeah but trust my judgement look at how bomb I look in this dress even without make-up or my hair done." She put on a sly smile.

"Okay, fine but I'm doing my own make-up."

"Can I do your hair then?"

"If I can do your make-up."

"Deal! I suck at make-up anyway."

Abi and I spent the day getting ready, or night. I'm not really sure the clocks are right since there are no windows in here. But we got ready together and it turned out great, Abi picked out a short purple and blue dress that almost looked identical to the pink and blue one she was wearing . I gave her blue and pink make-up while mine was black and purple. Abi also curled both of our hair, we looked almost identical except she was a tall blonde girl with blue eyes and I am a dark girl with dark hair and black eyes, but this was as close as we could get. This was bringing me back to my high school days when I would get ready for dances with friends, made me miss it but I never really fit in at high school anyway. That's hard to do when you're so secretly different then everyone else. it was never hard to keep my temper under control so I never worried about that like the other Hyproms did it was the fact that I'm so easily jumpy that scared me. Everything and anything makes me jump.

"How'd you do my make-up like this it's so beautiful!" Abi was looking in the mirror, in awe.

"I'll teach you sometime, you did great on my hair by the way! I never really learned or cared how to do this with my hair, its just a pain in my butt." Abi laughed.

"Thanks!" As Abi was about to say something else a bell rang. "Time to head to the ball room!"

"Theres a ball room?" Abi looked at me funny.

"Of course there is where else would we have all our huge events? You ready?"

I looked at my bed and grabbed the purple pocket knife laying on my bed and shoved it in my bra. "Now I am!"

"You don't need that."

"Better save than sorry."

"Whatever."

We headed to the ball room and met a stranger passing us on the stairs. I didn't see his face but it gave me shivers.

"Sails! Abi!" A familiar voice called out and we were greeted by a tall tuxed up T.A. Abi's face turned red when she saw him walking down to us. "You both look so amazing!" He smiled.

"Thanks!" We said in unison making us giggle. It's like high school I'm usually so much more mature than this. Oh well day off I suppose.

T.A. walked in between us and began locking arms with us both. Getting to the ball room we were offered glasses of wine and champagne. I took a glass of wine while the others took the champagne.

"You ready for this?" T.A. was looking down at me.

"Yeah I don't get stage fright or anything."

"No I mean to meet Kyrain." T.A.s eyes shined with excitement.

"Yeah why wouldn't I be?"

The ball room got quite as someone in a black and purple tuxedo came through the door. He looks familiar. Right as I could see facial features a scream broke through the ball room. Turning a see the splattering of blood across the floor.
