I grab my bag and write a note to my family saying "friend emergency, at the park" and start walking to the park. As soon as I get there I see Brianna and Paige there. I walk over to them. "I can't believe this happened" Brianna says. "Me either..." I reply. "Are the others coming?" I ask "yeah they are on they're way" right as Paige says that, brianne and anika show up. Paige runs up to them and they go into a group hug. They walk back. "OK I know this is gonna sound wierd but does any one else find it a tiny bit funny that out of all things that could've gone wrong, it had to be a polar bear that attacked seth." I say trying to contain my laughter. It took about 30 seconds but the group started giggling. "Were so mean" Paige says laughing. "OK but in all seriousness, do you think that he's going to make it?" Brianna asks. The laughter dies, like not fades out but like gets hits by a train then run over by a car then get eaten by a lion, that's how the laughter dies and then there's just silence. I start giggling out loud by that train of thought. Everyone stairs at me. "Are you laughing at seths demise??" Anika asks surprised. "No no definitely not, it's just my mind went to the weirdest thing, you see my laughter got eaten by a lion..." they all look at me like I'm insane. "Nevermind" I mumble. "Well ok then." Brianne says. "But guys what... if seth.... dies?" anika studders. I didn't even want to think about it, I mean I used to love seth and now there's a chance that he might die. It's hard to think that one of our friends could dye, never in a million years would I have guessed this would happen. How could this happen. "Guys it is getting late I think I should go home but let's talk at school tomorrow and I'll text you all." I say we all get into one huge group hug and then we start walking back to our homes.
As soon as I get home I turn on the news. It's about seth so I turn it up. "The young boy said to be in stable condition 2 hours ago has taken a turn for the worse, this young boy is barely clinging onto life, he is in life threatening critical condition."
I take out my iPad and text in the group chat. "Hey, i-i don't think that seths going to make it...turn on the news"
"Breaking news: young boy identified as seth has been pronounced---"
