Klaus drifter in the sunlight and glanced at the place that would be his home for a month. The quaint French town held no beauty for him. It was noting more than a stone cold prison that would capture his freedom.

A hand dropped on his shoulder ,with its body belonging to a young dashing man with a tight, jaw lined face with mud brown hair.

"It'll only be a temporary settlement, father is near" said Elijah with the deep British accent.

Klaus didn't even turn back to see Elijah ,who departed in to the army van with ,"be safe, brother." As his last farewell.

Klaus walked forward his head mid air. He was followed by an entire collection of soldiers from his infantry. He was a Major after all and would have to abide by the responsibilities beseeched upon him.

The war was a cruel one,yet it was nothing for 'the Original vampire'.

His army check point was just beyond the heavy forests that were ringed around this frail village.

It would provide better accommodations and these did seem like a holiday compared to where they were placed before.

Though Klaus did not care, he had grown weary of this war. The 1940s he knew he'd remember just as a drag that had worn out all the beauties that the modern civilisation had previously provided. And worst of all this war was bringing about a change most likely not a good one.

But these thoughts in mind he treaded forward until his unit began to subside in a small cafe along the cobblestone sidewalk.

He leaped in to the cafe and took a seat at the edge.
