Your POV

"Why can't you get your own damn paper towels?" Normani asks when I ask for her to get me some.

"Because.. I.. Please just do it," I beg.

"No. You're gonna get off your lazy ass and do it yourself. I am not your slave, Y/F/N," (your full name)

I roll my eyes and go to the bathroom to find her. Dinah Jane Hansen. Taking one of her legendary selfies. When I refer to it as that, my friends laugh at me and say that I'm the biggest dork ever, but do you blame me? The girl can win a Grammy for her selfies, if that was an award.

"Hey," she smiles at me.

"Hi," I blush and mentally slap myself for being so obvious of my crush.

I grab some paper towels, heading to the door.

"Wait!" She calls out to me.

"I'm Dinah," she offers her hand.

"Oh! I'm Y/N. It's nice to meet you," I respond, acting like I don't watch her YouTube videos on the daily. Dinah Jane Hansen, also known as "DinahDime" from YouTube. She hates when people from school watch her videos so that's why I don't tell her I watch them.

"You too, Y/N. See you around?" She flashes me a beautiful grin and I nod, smiling.

I simply nod, giving her a small smile.

Walking out, I squeal to Normani making sure Dinah isn't near to see me get weird.

"What the hell happened in there? You go in, annoyed about getting your own paper towels, now you're squealing..?" She asks, shaking her head at me.

I shrug. Suddenly, Dinah walks out of the bathroom and Normani says, "Ohhhhhhhh. You talked to your girrrrlll crushhh," She smirked, nudging me on my shoulder.

"Okay, Normani, it's not a girl crush if I'm a lesbian," I laughed, finally admitting to my super obvious major crush on Dinah.

"Wow, you admitted it! I'm so proud of you," She said sarcastically, earning an eye roll from me.

"Where's Ally?" I ask, not seeing the precious cinnamon roll.

"I don't know. I haven't seen her all day, I hope she's okay," Normani frowned, looking for her.

"She's never absent, I'll text her." I grab my phone.

Y/N: where u at Allycat

Shortyyy😜: I just woke up omg I'll be there in like 15 minutes

Y/N: omf ally ur late

Shortyyy😜: Really y/n I thought I would be too early 😒

Y/N: Allycat's sassy today shit everyone watch out

Shortyyy😜: Stop texting me you're making me even more late u toe

I just laugh and close my phone. "She's hella late on her sleeping schedule, she'll be here in a bit," I tell Normani.

"Thank God, I can't go through A-3 without her. Everyone in there sucks except us two," Normani sighs.

"I wish I had A-3 with you guys. But I have it with Dinah so it's okay. You two would embarrass me anyways," I take a sip of my coffee.

"First block is starting in five minutes, should we wait for Ally?" Normani asks, getting her stuff.

"Yeah, she hates being late so let's wait with her," I nod and text her what table we're at.

Three minutes later, Ally comes rushing in with her bags, panting and trying to breathe. "I.. Uh.." More pants.

"Just breathe, Allycat. You're lucky our class isn't upstairs," I pick up my bags and my two best friends do the same, walking to our first block. We have first block together, Choir. We're all in the varsity choir, along with Dinah. I've never heard her sing, she should post covers on YouTube. If she sings as good as she looks, lord help us all.

We walk in, two minutes late. But our choir director is strict as hell so we're gonna get a tardy anyway. "Where were you three ladies?" Mrs. Miller asks us, hands on her hips. (A/N let's pretend bea is older than the girls in this ok it's a fanfic)

"Traffic," we say in unison. That happens a lot.

"Okay find your seats and open your sight reading book to page 120." She says, before turning to the white board, showing us what key the sight reading is in.

"Class, put away your books. Some of you have requested a change in section. I have granted you guys that wish, so I'm going to assign your seats," She announced, grabbing her new seating chart.

"Hanna, Soprano, seat 24, Normani, Soprano, seat 28.." She started and I drifted off until hearing a name that made my head shoot three feet in the air.

"Dinah Jane, Alto, seat 56," That's right next to me. Holy shit. Ally, who was previously sitting there, goes off the risers, waiting for her seat to be called.

"Hey, Y/N. I didn't know you were an alto," She looks at me confused.

"Changed this year. I thought you were a soprano, too?" I asked.

"Challenging myself. Melody is easy as shit, harmony isn't. I wanna grow as a singer," She smiles, putting her binder under her chair.

"Same. It's all about getting out of your comfort zone," I smile.

"That's very true, singing is a skill. Some people don't realize that," She points out and leans back in her chair.

"Okay, you're all dismissed. Practice your songs for UIL. It's in two months,"  she announces as we all leave.

Normani and Ally run up to me. "Holy shit, Y/N! I saw that change Dinah made," Ally smirked at me.

"I know..." I smile brightly. Maybe I'll actually have the balls to flirt with her. Probably not. She's so intimidating.

"Y'all, we should go to The Grill tonight. Heard there's a new band playing tonight," Normani wiggled her eyebrows.

"I've been craving their cheese fries lately so I'm in! Ally?" Ally nods and we go our separate ways to block A-2.
