It's six in the morning. I have been awake all the whole time. The doctors have been running tests on my head and have me on a lot of medication. My mom said that my father will be flying in to see me. Which makes me very happy. Daniel hasn't left the hospital bed. He has been by my side this whole time to comfort me. My best friend Sarah is coming to see me today after they find out what's wrong with me. I spent most of my free time playing cards with Daniel while listening to one direction. Their new album "Stuck in love" came out a few days ago and I never got to listen to it. Me and Daniel fangirled over each and every song on the album.
"Ms. Forbes we have your test results." Says the young nurse. I feel Daniel grab my hand. I hold on tight scared to hear what the nurse is about to announce.
"Leah I am afraid that you have thyroid cancer." I gasp for air. I wasn't prepared to have cancer. My mom walks towards me and holds my. I start to cry because in just less than 24 hours my world has turned completely upside down. She sits on the edge of the bed.
"They think they can operate right away Leah. So you may be having surgery soon. But don't be scared they will tell you when." I look at Daniel. He doesn't look like himself anymore. His eyes are bloodshot from lack of sleep.
"I am sorry to leave you, but I have school this week. As much as I want to be by your side during this I have to get some rest." Daniel hugs me. I will miss him. I will miss him too much.
"Be back soon. I love you Daniel." I say and begin to cry. I can't be here battling this all on my own. Daniel smiles and says "I love you too Leah." And then he disappears.

The room is filled with emptiness. The silence scares me out of my mind. Every now and then I hear a patient screaming from down the hall. They have me in the ICU. So there are a bunch of people dying on this floor. I could be one of those people if they don't operate soon. I hear a knock on the door and I smile.
"Leah! Girl I'm here now. No need to worry." Says Sarah as she hugs me. I'm so happy she's here.
"Thank gosh your here. I would of died of boredom. There's nothing to do here except watch tv." I say. She just giggles.
"Well your in luck because I brought all the seasons of Teen Wolf, Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries." Sarah tells me as she sits down next to me on the stretcher.
"What would I do with out you Sarah."
We watch the first couple of episodes of teen wolf. It's my favorite show. Every time Stiles comes on screen we look at each other and scream.
"Gosh I wish Dylan O'brian was my boyfriend." She says. Just then my phone starts to go off. It's a text from Daniel.
From Daniel👽: heyyyy
To Daniel: Hi. I miss youuu:(((
From Daniel👽: I got a you a little something. It will be at the hospital in about 1 minute.
To Daniel👽: WHATT DO YOU MEAN ITS COMING HERE IN 1 MINUTE???
I am confused and I show Sarah the text and she just grins.
"Oh so you know about this. What is it Sarah." I joke at her.
"It's not much. We just thought you needed something to cheer you up." She says giggling. Ugh I hate surprises.
"Leah someone's here." My mom says opening the door.
"Hey Leah." I hear a voice say. It's Keith Urban. He was a judge from American idol. He comes over to hug me.
"How are you doing with everything?" He asks.
"I'm fine. It's boring here but I'm doing great." I try to smile at him to show I'm okay.
"Well, Daniel asked if I could have someone come and visit you before your surgery." I look at him confused. What is he talking about.
"Yesterday I tweeted out to one direction if they would want to meet you sometime before your surgery." I can't breathe. Did he just say one direction.
"Thank you so much Keith it mean so much. Thank you." I feel as if I am about to cry.
"I'm glad you like it, because they're waiting outside right now." Tears role down my cheeks as the three boys come into view. There's only three of them. Niall is the first to come into the room. He is smiling at me even though I'm crying. Liam and Louis are behind Niall. They're talking to Keith about something.
