(Erwin's 3rd person P.O.V)

Everything was a mess.

What was supposed to be a carefree, relaxing day suddenly turned into a stressful, tense nightmare. At least, that was what Erwin had been thinking.

The commanding angel sat quietly in his office, going over papers that required his signature from the higher-ups. It wasn't anything he wasn't used to; it was just a small part that came with his position.

Signing off another paper, Erwin sighed. Just a couple more documents and he would be granted some free-time. It was a rare occasion that he was given some time to himself, and he would not take it for granted.

Suddenly, the door to his office was slammed open roughly, breaking the calming silence of the room. A new recruit, he noticed, being the cause of the disruption. An alarmed look hovered over his features, immediately notifying the commander that something was wrong.

"C-Commander, sir! We have a serious situation!" The recruit stammered nervously. Erwin stood up slowly from his seat, coming around the front of his desk to come to a stop in front of the panicked angel.

"What is it? What's going on, cadet?" He asked in a sedated tone, trying to calm the recruit down. The state he was in at the moment was going to make it hard to understand what he had to tell him.

Noticing the commander's tranquilness, the cadet took a deep breath and saluted him, this time acting appropriately. "Sir, the Captain is back from his patrol on Earth."

Erwin lifted his thick brows in confusion. "I see," he stated, not understanding why that was such a bad thing. "And why are you labeling this as something dire?"

"That's not all!" The recruit protested, coming out of his salute and waving his arms rapidly. "The Captain has returned, but he did not come back alone!"

"What are you getting at, cadet? Please be more specific," Erwin sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. He did not have the time to witness foolishness from one of his recruits.

The recruit visibly paled, and Erwin could feel the anxiety coming off of him in waves that were rather unnerving.

"He has captured a demon and brought it back with him!"

Erwin was shocked.

Never had he imagined that his second-in-command, a strict enforcer, would break any of the Legion's rules, especially the two most important.

Never socialize with a demon.

And...

Never allow a demon to enter heaven.

The moment the recruit had told him about the Archangel's decision to bring a demon to their home, the commander immediately requested to see them both at once.

When he arrived at the confined prison located on the other side of the headquarters, he could feel two unmistakable aura's. One was an angel's, and the other was a demon's. But what confused him is that somehow, they both felt pure and untouched.
