Aleah's P.O.V.

It was getting dark out now, and my mom knows that I leave so late at night. My family knows that I leave as well, but they don't mind it at all. They are too busy with their own kids at this time of night. They keep having kids, which I like because the more kids they have, the happier I am. "Mom, I'm leaving," I said. Walking out of the door, my mom waves and closes the door. I walk through the woods and go to the tree I have been going to ever since I was 7 years old. I take out my book and start reading. I read for a very, very long time until I heard footsteps coming towards me. I said, "Hello there." I said, "Hello, it's me, Rumpelstiltskin, the dark one." "I see you are reading the same book as you were last night." "And I am really curious to see what you are reading, so I decided to come over and see what book you are reading," he said. I start looking into those evil eyes; they are very hypnotizing. "Now tell me, dearie, what's this book about?" He said. "I'm reading a story that my mother and father wrote about when I was just a little baby," I said, smiling at the thought of my dad. I miss him so much. "It's a very beautiful story," he said to me. I was not paying attention when he took the book and started reading it. "Thank you so much. My dad passed away a year ago. "I miss him a lot, but I need to move on with life, you know?" I said. "Yes, yes, I do know what it feels like to lose someone near and dear to your heart," he said, looking deep into the woods. "I'm getting a bit cold." I should call it early for tonight. "I'm pretty sure my mother is starting a nice warm fire for me." I said, still paying attention to my book, "Oh, really, does she know that I come see you every night?" He said, staring into my eyes, "No, she only knows about it one time, and that's it." I said, looking down. I started to put my book into my bag, and I got up, and I saw him staring at me. I brushed it off as if it weren't happening, and I started walking the mile back home with him a few feet behind me. I find that to be a bit odd. I opened the door to see my mom starting up the fireplace. She sees me staring at her and says, "Hello, love, you came just in time for the fire." Everyone just went to bed except me because I'm thinking about your father, and I miss him so much!" My mom says you look very sad. I feel bad for her. She never went out to find a new husband. She only loves my father. "Mother, here is the book that you and daddy wrote." Just look at it and read it. You'll feel better. That's why I go out in the woods to read every night. So I can feel a bit better. "I feel like he's always with me when I'm out there watching me read this book." I said she smiles and grabs it from me. I turned around to close the door, and there he was, tall, green, and evil-looking. He winked at me and disappeared into thin air, but, hey, you can't help falling in love.
