Aleah's P.O.V

I woke up the next morning with my room warm as always. My mother walks in, saying, "Good morning, darling." I smile back at her, "Good morning." I say, "Come down stairs. Breakfast will be done shortly." She walks out of my room. I go and get ready, then I walk out of my room and go to the kitchen to wash my hands before I eat, and then I go to the table where my family is sitting, all of my uncles and aunts with my cousins. I sit down, my mother comes out with the food, and I'm starving; it feels like I haven't eaten anything in a year. Yes, I'm over-exaggerating, but don't mind me. We start eating, everybody eating, and talking about what they will be doing today. All I do is go into the forest and read my books all day and half the night. I'm that weird child everyone talks about how they feel bad for me they give me pity but it doesn't even bother me anymore like it used too I'd get bullied everyday that's why I'm never out in the town. That's probably why they think I'm dead because I never leave home. The only time I do leave is to go to the forest and read. No one from town comes over to visit. My family is always in town; they talk to them but they never ask about me. I guess I'm that weird. One of these days I'll go into town with my family and see if anyone notices me. I haven't been into town since a little after my father died, and when I was little, I got picked on. Even before he died, he always wanted to protect me from those children and people. Then he got very ill and died a week after the children picked on me and even made fun of me, saying it was my fault that my dad died. So I stopped going into town with my family and went to the woods every day and night ever since then. I finished my food and went into my room to get my books. Today I'll go to the woods for a little while, and then I'll go all night tonight. I feel like someone is watching me. I don't pay any attention, and I grab my books. I see someone in the corner of my eye asking, "Where are you off too?" The familiar voice said, "To the woods, where I am always," and I said, "I turn around and see the dark one sitting on my shelf." "Do you mind if I join you?" He asks what I think about it. "I wouldn't mind," I say.
