Lauren's POV:
We got on the plane as soon as we could, the 4:30am flight to Bora Bora. We got through passport control no problem and Brooklyn's charm meant that every single person we came across immediately seemed to like him. Obviously Victoria and David, or my parents didn't realise that we were gone yet because they probably weren't even up yet. Even when they did get up we left a note saying that we were staying in Glasgow for a few nights with a couple of friends. I dragged my massive hand luggage bag onto the plane and was embarrassed when I tripped over it. My foot got caught under the wheel of my pull-along and I sort of fell over, pulling Brooklyn down in the process- typical. Brooklyn smiled at me, hiding his laughter. He held his hand out and pulled me up, after he had got up obviously. Everyone behind us was giving us evils. We were at the opposite side of the plane so we had to walk the whole length of the plane to get to our seats. Brooklyn ended up carrying my hand luggage as well as his own, to save me the embarrassment of falling over again.
When we got to our seats we realised that we were having to sit next to an old man. I felt kind of bad because the man was all by himself and Brooklyn and I got to sit together but to be honest the guy didn't really seem to care- he probably had been on his own on flights hundreds of times.
All in all the flight went pretty well, I mean as well as it could of. Brooklyn was used to flying to exotic places but I had only been as far as Spain and France. Bora Bora was roughly a 30 hour journey on the plane from Edinburgh. It exhausted me and I wondered how the old man was able to cope. His wife and,I presume, three of his grandkids were in the row behind us and the rest of his family took up another four rows.
We stopped in L.A after 15 hours and then flew on to a place I'd never heard of until finally we reached Bora Bora- hot and sweaty and smelling of the plane.
I looked out of the airplane window and saw the most beautiful place I'd ever seen, after Edinburgh of course. The water was clear, and bright blue. The sun shone down on the island like it would never be dark.
We booked into our little hut- hotel and unpacked our stuff (by stuff I mean everything I owned). The house on stilts that we were staying in was beautiful and I wanted to stay there forever. Of course, I knew we could never stay here our entire lives but at least one month. My family were probably going to miss me like hell, as I would miss them but I had to be with Brooklyn.
