Siting in my second class my phone vibrated in my pocket. I furrow my eyebrows, I don't have a soul till after school, I take out my phone and seen it was an unknown number. I opened the text,
11:03 - Uknown -
Hey its Marty! I got your number off Ryan, I hope that's ok?!
I chuckle to myself and save Marty into my contacts.
11:05 - Me = Marty
It's ok.
I slide my phone back into my pocket turning my attention back to the teacher chatter on about animal and plant membranes. The bell final goes of and we all stand up and leave the classroom. Entering mathematics I bump into someone, Arthur.
"Hey" I smile, observing Arthurs handsome face. Gold piercing into Blue. I look at is body, he is wearing light grey skinny jeans and a maroon T-shirt matching his Maroon high tops finishing with a worn out grey beanie.
"Hey, you in this Maths?" His dreamy voice flows out in a sexy, comforting way that it makes me feel like I could cry and him holding me and talking to me would make my tears stop.
"Y-yeah, yeah I am, are you?" I ask. He nods and pats my back, heading into the class room, I stare over at him longingly. Damn, I don't normally crush like this.
I walk into the class room, or try, before I get pulled back and slammed into a locker. The guy from yesterday with the light brown hair and expressionless face had and an angry vibe, although face still expressionless. He growled slightly.
"What are you?" He snaps. I feel my face heat up as he gets closer to me face.
"I don't k-know what you mean" I squeak. He looks at all of my face as if he is searching for the lies to me locked in my face expression.
"Your not a normal reaper" He growls, "So what are you?" He asks himself more than me, he pulls me off the lockers only to slam my back right back into them again. "So I ask again, WHAT ARE YOU!" he roars, making me whimper. The math door slams open with an angry Arthur.
"Let her go or I swear I'll rip your heart out" Arthur's eyes look red around the lids, his nostrils flaring, teeth grinding. The stranger made no move to drop me. "RAY LET THE REAPER GO!" Arthur yells, My eyes widen, he knows what I am?! Class room doors open students running to gather around the scene. So called 'Ray' dropped me with his eyes still glued to Arthur's with a nasty sneer. Before anything could be said I pushed through all the students gathered around us most likely hoping for a fight, and ran. I ran as fast as I could, as far as I could. Ignoring the calls of my name behind me. I heard multiple feet behind me. Suddenly I got pulled to someone's hard chest, and I cried. I turned with tear filled eyes and saw Nick looking down to me with apologetic eyes. I clung to him and cried as he rubbed my back and whispered sweet nothings in my ear like how brave I have been and I just need to let it out. I heard some more feet behind us.
"Riley, I'm so sorry" I heard Arthur say. I just held Nick closer to me listening to his heart beat making me calm down.
"Arthur I think you should leave" I heard Sunny say.
"I need to talk to her" He sais as if its obvious.
"Beat it before I beat you" Nick rumbled through gritted teeth. I pull way from Nick an pull on his arm heading to Sunny's car. I slid in the back seat with Nick and started to cry again, only harder. Sunny got in the car and drove us home. Nick picked me up and took me to bed leaving me for a little while so I can sort out things in my head.
Nearly two hours later Johnny comes in and sits on my bed and rubs my back.
"I gave your soul to Nick, you need some time off to sort things out, ok?" he asks. I only nod. Sunny comes in and Johnny leaves.
"ok infantem erit soror promitto." Sunny whispers.'Baby sister, I promise it will be ok'.
"Numquam est ok" I whimper. 'It is never ok'.
Sunny smiles sadly and kisses my temple.
"Nos semper amabo tu Hiems". 'We will always love you Winter'.
