Dear Emma,

Well, here it goes; my letter to you. This will be hard to write to you. I didn’t want to do this but it’s been building up for years and I couldn’t keep it in any longer. Just friends isn’t enough. Honestly, I couldn’t bear being friends with you with the feelings I have towards you. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me and I wouldn’t know how to last in this friendship if I had to hide my feelings. I know you have a boyfriend, and I know you love him more than you’ll ever love me. You tell me everything he says to you. I can treat you better, Emma; I’ll do whatever you please.

Year Three - Day One

Looking out on the terrace where the cars honked and the sky glistened, I watched carefully as the birds flew from one building top to the other. The birds chirped as I entered back into my apartment looking for a white shirt and blue jeans.

Pulling on the jeans then the white shirt, I laid back on my gray bed looking up to the ceiling, my eyes following the fan spinning at a constant rate. The thought of her was in my mind again, but it always is. Emma Russet, such a sweet subtle girl; her long brown hair and the sparkling brown eyes, I loved her.

But I was just ‘her friend.’

That's when I decided to write her a letter before I leave.
