– He debuted as a rapper since 6th grade.
– The first time he realized what Hip Hop was when he was young and listened to a Wu-Tang Clan album. After hearing a particular song, he knew he wanted to get into music.
– In his trainee days, YG said that if GD didn't get at least 80 points he wouldn't be able to leave the training room. So then he got over 80 points on his tests while in school. 87 was his best score in high school.
– A present that he got from a fan that really touched him was when in middle on his birthday, he felt lonely and sad but when he read fanletters, his feelings brightened.
– After 20 years he wants to be like Mr.YG, helping people to reach their dream.

20 fun facts you didn't know about G-Dragon
1.G-Dragon's full name is Kwon Ji-Yong. The name G-Dragon came from his real name Jiyong (G "지" [Ji] & "용" [Yong] which means "Dragon" in Korean. He was also born on the year of the dragon according to the Chinese calendar.
2.GD won "Best Songwriter Award" in MKMF (MNet Km Music Festival) when Bigbang performed there in 2007.
3.GD has always said Pharrell Williams is one of his favourite artists since he was very young. Other favourites include: Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Blackstreet, and Wu-Tang Clan.
4.GD's first single 'Heartbreaker' was a controversial one. Sony Music accused YG of plagiarism, asserting that had too many similarities. In the end, they compromised by creating a remix of the song featuring Flo Rida for his bonus track album.
5.GD's first entertainment industry appearance was at a kids TV program called "Bbo Bbo Bbo"

7.G-Dragon was originally a trainee at SM Entertainment for 5 years until he was persuaded by YG CEO Yang Hyun-suk to change to YG at age 12.
YG CEO Yang Hyun-suk then made him write one song per week, every week.
