Chapter 5 Pt. 1

The sun woke me up as soon as it seeped through the curtains. An unfamiliar ceiling faced me as I opened my eyes and I wondered to myself where the hell am I and remembered the whole thing the car, the tree house and Thomas. I got the feeling that I needed to pee so I got up and went straight to the bathroom since the door was left open I decided to go inside without thinking that there could be a human being on the inside who not to mention was naked. When I opened the door I was welcomed by plain old butt who is shaking instead of shouting or getting shocked again I started laughing at the sight of Thomas shaking his butt. As Thomas, he wouldn't be embarrassed about it instead he kept dancing while telling me to go away so I exited the room still laughing.

A few minutes passed and he came out of the shower already dressed. Right after that I showered and got changed and we started talking about what we were going to do that day while eating our way through breakfast.

"What do you want to do today?" I asked.

"We should get lost in the forest or something"  He said.

"Then the forest it is" I said smiling.

We collected things that we might need like snacks, water, first aid kit and some extra clothes. We headed for the entrance of the forest and started walking then we came into a two way road we either enter the left or right one. We fought over which way to go but we ended up choosing the right path. While walking we started talking about everything.

"Why didn't you choose the left path?" I asked

"It looked too easy; it looked like there were no challenges, no obstacles just like in life if you find a path like it probably doesn't lead anywhere." He said while  stepping on twig.

"Probably" I answered.

"It's already 11:00, we've been walking for three hours." I added.

"Didn't felt like three." Thomas said as he looked into his watch.

"Maybe because were happy, were enjoying." I said.

"Time flies when you're having fun." Thomas said.

"I've never been this happy with a girl after you left it was always you Anne always." He added.

I just smiled at him, hearing him talk like that once again made me believe on the same lie I believed during high school the lie that you somewhat have feelings for me. These thoughts made me feel down and vulnerable and I felt someone calling me.

"Anne, are you hearing that?" he said as he walked further away form me and closer to the sound.

"Hearing what?" I asked.

"Sounds like water." he said

"Maybe there's a waterfall nearby." I said.

"Yeah." he said.

We followed the sound and minutes later we were there. We were amazed on how beautiful the place was the falls was about 30 feet high and water was in this turquoise bluish green colour. The falls were surrounded by rocks and the beautifully fit the scenery. The water was very clear that you could see a school of fish swimming around. The place looked like it came out of a postcard it was that amazing. I quickly removed my clothes and luckily I was wearing a bikini underneath and so I saw him removing his shirt and he shouted at me asking me if wanted to jump with him and I said yes.

"3, 2, 1, Jump!" He said.

"AHHHHHH" I said.

The sound of the water came crashing to my ears and while still in the water I still felt his hand clutched to mine and we got back up to the water to get some air. We swam around for awhile then he  said something.

"I've seen this waterfall before and I know the story behind it." Thomas added. 

"What story?" I asked.

"You won't be able to leave the forest until you admit something." He said.

"Like what?" I asked.

"Like telling someone that you truly hate them or love them with all of your heart." He said.

"Is it really necessary?" I asked hoping that the answer would be know

"We're gonna get lost if we don't" He said.

"So who goes first?" I asked.
