(y/n) was jolted out of her dream and woke up to the sound of her alarm clock, which she really hated. It was far to loud for her taste.

She stared at the clock.

"6:30... It's time to get out of bed." she said still a little sleepy.

It was monday and today was (y/n)'s birthday.

Ugh...Too bad I have to go to school today. I don't want to go. I'm way too tired.

After getting up, she moved her sleepy figure to the bathroom to get ready for school. (y/n) first brushed her teeth, then combed her long (h/c) hair and braided them the way she always did. She put on her clothes: a white top and her thin black jersey, a pair of dark blue shorts, her knee-high socks and at last she put on her favourite earrings with the heart-shaped red stones.

After finishing, she got out of the bathroom and took a glace at her clock.

"6:51. I still have plenty of time." she said, since school doesn't start before 8 o'clock.

She then got her schoolbag from a corner of her room and walked downstairs, where she was greeted by her little cousin running towards her.

"Onee-chan! Onee-chan! Happy birthday!" the little girl said happily while hugging (y/n).

She was wearing a cute light blue dress. It really suits the nine-year-old girl.

"Good mornin' Alice. Thanks." (y/n) said with a light smile.

They then went to the living room, where (y/n) was greeted by her aunt and uncle.

"Happy birthday, (y/n)" they said in unison, while smiling at the now 17-year-old girl.

She stared at them for a few seconds before finally saying, "...Thanks". She gave them a fake smile.

Sure, she was happy, that they didn't forget her birthday, since they were really important to her, but she still felt like a stranger. A stranger in her own home. She felt as if she was disturbing the little family with her very existence.

Though she once wanted to ask them about it when she was younger, she just couldn't bring herself to do it.

I'm afraid. What if what I fear is really true? Will they tell me to leave? Will I be able to handle another loss?

...

No... I can't. I just can't ask them. I'm too afraid, afraid of being hurt again.

Was what the once 13-year-old (h/c) haired girl thought, when she was about to ask them.

"(y/n), hurry and eat your breakfast or you two will be late for school." the brunette woman in her thirties said and thus wakening (y/n) from her daydream.

She and Alice quickly finished their breakfast and said their goodbyes. They then put

On their shoes and (y/n) put on her white scarf with magenta stripes, before they left for school.

Since their schools were nearby, they could walk there. (y/n) first brought Alice to school, like she always did and then headed off to her own school. She arrived after about ten minutes and went to her classroom, where she was greeted by a bunch of other students who threw crayons and other stuff at her. Yeah, you read right. She is being bullied by her classmates.

"..."

I didn't say a word, when they threw the stuff at me. I never do. Instead, I just let it happen. Every day, over and over again.

If I fall, would you catch me? (Magi x Reader)Where stories live. Discover now
