Chapter 2: Welcome to the world of Magi!

(y/n)'s P.O.V

I heard a faint sound, as I gradually came back to my senses.

Ugh... My head hurts. Where am I? What's happening? And most importanty, why am I still alive?

Then, I opened my (e/c) eyes and was greeted by a blinding light. It caused me to quickly shut my eyes again. I tried to slowly open my eyes once again. This time I could slightly see something. My sight was still a little blurred, but I could still see some white birdlike creatures. They were shining and flying in the direction of the path in front of me. I was in a cave and everything seemed to be dark. The birdlike creatures were the only source of light and I was quite relieved that they were all around me.

I stared at them, as I thought They're beautiful...

I then realized, that I was still sitting on the floor. I stood up quickly and looked around. Behind me was a pitch-black path, which I believed leaded even deeper into the cave I was in.

Well, guess I can't go this way. It's way to dark... and scary. Maybe it would be best to just follow these birds.

I decided to follow these birdlike creatures.

Somehow, they look familiar... but I just can't remember where I've seen them before.

I walked alongside the path for about half an hour, until I finally got out of the cave. I found myself in front of a huge door. It had two handprints on it, one on the left side of the door and the other on the right side. Luckily they were close enough for me to reach them with both of my hands. I reached for both handprints and when my hands touched them, the door opened.

I was greeted by sunlight, which once again blinded me. The sun was shining on my (s/c) skin and I felt my long (h/c) hair flutter in the wind. When my (e/c) eyes had adjusted to the sunlight, I started to look around. I really wanted to find out where I was and most of all why.

I stood there on a high building and the view that I found was truly breathtaking. I stood there with my (e/c) eyes and mouth wide open.

"W-Wow..." was all I could say while observing the scenery. There was a great palace in the midst of what looked like an ancient city. Well, actually they partly looked more like ruins. I then realized that there wasn't a single person to be seen.

Now that I think about it, I haven't seen anyone ever since I arrived here. Just what happened here?

As I was thinking about it, I suddenly noticed that the white birds had disappeared.

I wonder where they flew off?

Then I saw the stairs next to me, which were leading to the city. I decided to go to the palace-like building and went down the stairs.

"Hah... I've been wandering around quite a while now. This sure is exhausting..." I said.

Then, I finally reached the ground. When I looked around, I still couldn't see any living creature. Which caused me to get nervous.

"H-hello? Is anybody out there?" I shouted.

Although there was no answer, I still felt uneasy. It was like someone was watching me. I slowly started to move on, but soon I heard something shatter and got startled. I quickly turned around, but there was still no one to be seen.

W-what's going on here?

Suddenly I saw a shadow and got scared.

"W-whoever y-you are, sh-show yourself!" I shouted, but nobody answered.
