She runs. She jumps. She hides.
She doesn't know what's chasing her, but she thinks she feels those staring eyes. Gashes and bruises mark her skin where the trees scuffed her in the lighting so dim.
She runs. She jumps. She hides.
Out in the forest, alone and waiting to die.
She grabs some leaves and in between heaves she covers all the wounds and masks the pain.
She runs. She jumps. She hides.
Under a fallen tree, nothing's pursuing her tonight. She forgets about the world and everything in it, she steps out into the sun and finally she feels it.
She runs. She jumps. But this time she doesn't hide;
She stands proudly where she is and takes it all in. She feels the wind rushing through her long curly hair as it blows away all of her cares. The rain is so strong she has to keep her eyes closed but she appreciates the beauty that's there, she knows. Though she thinks she's alright deep down inside the small bit of fear is still waiting to fly. She knows her struggles and those that will forever stay lit, if all else fails...
If you can't find the problem, mask it.
