Next day...
I was walking down the halls of school when I felt someone grab my wrist. I was turned to face the devil himself Matthew.
"Did you finish the project yet?" He asked not letting go of my arm
"No I haven't even started, why?"
"Because my moms forcing me to help you so you have to come over today after school"
"fine" I said turning my heels to walk away. He lets go of my arm as I continue to walk.
Lunch time
Me, Beth and Abby were all ready at our table enjoying our food.
"You wanna com over today?" Abby asked me and Beth
"Sure!" Beth answered excitedly
"Can't I have to work on a stupid history project with Matthew" I said
"I guess it's only me and Beth then" Abby said
I shrugged and continued to eat my food.

After school
For once I actually didn't want school to end. Anything, even school was better than hanging out with Matthew.
This boy was such a player. A new girl with on to him everyday. He was rarely at school and he's been suspended way too many times to even count.
"Maggie lets go!" I hear him scream. I rolled my eyes.
Wow I can't believe he even remembered my name. I'm flattered.
I walked over to his car opening the door for myself as he waited in the drivers seat.

We arrived at his house, again opening the car door for myself and following him inside. Where we were greeted by his mom.
"Hi mrs.espinosa" I said giving a smile.
"Is that Maggie!" She said pulling me into a big hug
"Nice to you too." I said giggling
She pulled back and looked at us.
"Well I have to go so be good" she said waving
She locked the door and left to who knows where.
"Can we get started?" I said a bit rude
"Yeah I'll go get some snacks" he said leaving me in the living room.
I checked my phone, I had 4 missed calls from a number I haven't seen before. I decided to call it.
"Hello?" I heard on the other line
"Um..hi you called me" I said
"Oh, hey Maggie. It's Dante"
"Oh...um Dante" I said nervously " how'd you get my number?"
"I asked one of your friends, Beth I'm pretty sure" he answered
"Oh you could've asked me" I said back
"Yeah I know" he said.
"Well I'm kinda busy right now but I'll text you later" I said
"Okay, bye"
"Bye" I said before hanging up. I immediately called Beth.
"WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME YOU GAVE DANTE MY NUMBER!" I screamed into the phone once she picked up.
"Jeez Mags I wanted to surprise you" she answer chuckling a little
"Well best surprise ever! Thankss!!" I said
"Look I gotta go. Abby is back" she said
"Kay byes" I said hanging up
I heard someone clear their throat. I look back and see Matthew smirking at me.
"What?" I asked
"You like Dante, you like Dante!" He said like a five year old pointing at me.
"No I do not!" I said folding my arms
"Your reaction didn't show that, I've been standing here longer than you think" he said
I gave him a glare and turned back to the work. He came and sat beside me as I started to work while he sat eating the popcorn and texting someone on his phone.
"Are you gonna help?" I asked
"What do you want help with?" He asked
"The project maybe" I said
"Oh really" he said sarcastically
"Never mind I don't know why I even asked"

We had to do at least 20 important times in that time period. So far we only had 8. I did all of them by myself.
"Hey I'm leaving okay" Matthew spoke
"Um no you're not I came here because you told me to"
"Cmon i was invited to a party" he whined
"There's no way in hell Im letting you leave me here"
"Fyne come with me" he said
"Same thing there's no way in hell I'm going anywhere with you either"
"Please it's just a party we can work on this another day"
"Fine" I said bluntly while cleaning up my stuff

In the car he actually helped me with the project. We now had 15, only five more to go.

We sat in silence until..
"So tell me about yourself" he said
"Since when do you care" I said
"Can't I get to know you"
"You would know stuff about me if you didn't abandon me for your other friends"
"Gosh I'm sorry, so are you gonna tell me anything about yourself or not" he answered getting a little frustrated with me
"Fine I'll make it short and sweet....I'm Maggie I have cancer and I'm going to die in six months"
"Mag I didn't know..." He trailed off
"It doesn't matter" I shrugged
"Yeah it does" he answered with a concerned look
"Just stop Matthew, hey pull over here" I said to the driver
"Wait what" Matthew said
"Have fun at your party" I said getting out of the car and walking to the door of my house.
Matt rolled down the window, "Mag I'm sorry" was the last thing I heard before shutting my door.

Did he care?

Wait it Matthew we're talking about, of course he doesn't.

I went up to my room, I checked the time 10:40. Did I really stay that long?
I went up to my room, I stripped off my clothes and changed into some joggers and a tank top. I jumped into bed and went to sleep.
