This actually happened last night. 10/09/15
I knew I should have never done it,
You were drunk,
I was mad,
You were supposed to be responsible for me,
Not the other way around.
The beer was cracked open,
And the silence begun.
You tried to make conversation,
While I tried to ignore you.
I was still mad,
And I knew what would make you mad as well.
I'm gay.
It all just came out,
Word after word.
"You exploded.
Disgrace,
Unbelievable,
Burn in hell,
shameful."
The words you used to comfort me.
I had succeeded in making you as mad as I was,
But it was temporary.
Hate isn't.
You were supposed to accept me,
Like everyone else tried to.
Now I have a choice to make,
That isn't even mine to make.
I could pretend it never happened,
I could not care.
But neither is working.
I have kept this secret from you since I found out.
I told everyone except you,
knowing that if I never told you,
I could never be hurt by you.
It was so much safer.
I never thought that I could be so hurt by someone I hate.
Because your opinion doesn't matter.
I know that I shouldn't be hurt.
But I am.
Because your supposed to be my father.
Good thing I have two.
