When they arrived at the apartment building, they headed to Brandon and Corey's, opening the door and filing in. Kevin looked up from where he sat on the couch, his fingers moving across his phone as he typed a text message to his girlfriend.

Lazar glanced around the apartment, studying the place, most likely checking for escape routes and weapons.

"Lazar, this is where you'll be staying. Brandon and Kevin are going to go over some things with you." Axel said, ushering everyone else back out of the apartment.

"I am not baby, I do not need sat." Lazar growled.

"There's a lot that you need to know. They're not just protecting you, they're protecting us." Axel said.

Raven stood unmoving, watching Lazar with narrowed eyes. Knowing the kinds of things that Lazar was capable of, he didn't feel completely comfortable leaving Kevin and Brandon alone with him. "I'll stay."

"We have things to discuss of our own Raven. They'll be fine." Marc said.

Raven walked over to Lazar, placing a hand on his shoulder. "If you hurt them in any way, I will come after you and kill you. Your death will be the painful." Raven told him in Russian.

"I understand." Lazar said, staring coldly back at him.

Raven stood for a few more moments, before forcing himself to walk from the apartment. They headed down the hall to the other apartment and entered. He was so deep in thought that he nearly missed the birthday banner hanging on the wall, the cake waiting on the coffee table and the stack of presents surrounding it.

"Happy Birthday!" Everyone screamed at the same time, pulling out cans of Silly String and spraying Raven with it. He stood there in shock for a moment, his entire body being quickly covered in the stuff, to the point where it hung from him in a sheet.

Raven turned around slowly, his eyes narrowing. Kayli was cackling like a madwoman, grasping onto Corey's arm to keep herself upright.

Raven grinned and pulled some of the Silly Sting off of him and tossed it at the two. Kayli tucked behind Corey, who ended up taking the blunt of the attack. Raven lunged forward, grabbing Corey and dragging him across the room towards the cake. He knew that when he took Corey, that Kayli wouldn't be able to resist fighting with Raven to let him go. Scooping up a finger full of blue icing from the cake, he smeared it across Corey's face, knowing that the dye in the icing would quickly turn his skin blue.

"Help!" Corey screamed, trying to get free and wipe the icing from his face.

Raven felt the weight of Kayli as she hopped on his back, wrapping one of her arms around his neck as she reached forward and grabbed a hunk out of the cake, smashing it into his face.

Raven fell back, pretending her attacking him with cake was enough to cause him to let go of Corey. He pinned Kayli against the floor, quickly flipping over to have a better hold and position.

Her warm body against his wasn't just a friendly attack, it was effecting his body and his reaction to it was anything but friendly.

Raven licked the cake from around his mouth, smirking down at her. Kayli's eyes widened and she squirmed against him, which only made him that much more excited. He didn't care if the other guys were in the room to see. He loved Kayli and wasn't going to hide how he felt about her. Bending his head down, he kissed her deeply and swept his tongue into her mouth, feeling her nip at him. Her hands found their way into his hair and Raven grunted before pulling back, the air between them filled with heavy pants and the smell of cake and kisses.

I felt one of her hands at my waist as she leaned up to kiss me again. I knew what she was doing, even before she pulled out the knife. When she released me from the kiss, she held the knife where I could see it and looked triumphant.

"Let's cut the cake."
