Chapter 5
I sighed following Klaus through the bayou." Ok I get that there is supposed to be a magic out here but why am i here" I asked and he turned to look at me.
" My mother took you out from under my nose once, I'm not letting her do that again" he told me taking my hand and I smiled. We continued walking until he suddenly let go and tackled a man into a tree. I sighed as he told the man to stop following him before he walked back over to me but the man ignored Klaus's warning, telling us he knew where to find the flower we were searching for. He led us through the woods and we walked in silence. The man tried to talk to Klaus but he ignored him before Klaus finally gave in and started telling him about how he always thought that he never cared about him, which led to the man who I found out was Klaus's real father telling him about all the things he watched happen from the other side. Klaus then went back to ignoring him and I sighed" I should have just stayed home with Elijah" I mumbled whacking branch out of my face.
Klaus glanced at me and I sighed reaching for the ring on my finger. I removed it and immediately stumbled sideways as I felt my full power returning, along with Klaus's voice in my head.
You really do look lovely in this light sweetheart
I bumped his shoulder while rolling my eyes and he laughed" how did we ever start hating each other" I asked and he shrugged" possibly when I almost killed Tyler Lockwood and threw you into a car"
" oh yeah, I still haven't gotten you back for that one" I pointed out and he chuckled" I think I made up for it by telling you about Jillian"
" hmmm...." I pretended to think about it before answering" nope, not even close because then you chased me all over New Orleans trying to get me to listen to you and snapped my neck because I helped Rebekah and Elijah"
" I gave you a summer to decide and think over your future, what more do you want" He whined and I laughed. Ansel watched us from behind and sighed causing me to raise an eyebrow at him before looking at Klaus." you know Klaus there is a chance to at least try to talk to him"
Klaus frowned but before he could say anything I continued" I barely even got to know my own father and you know how that went. Human father #1 went off a bridge and sacrificed himself to save my sister. not me, Elena. human father #2 also sacrificed himself to save Elena when you tried to kill her in the ritual and lastly father number 3# Immortal witch/vampire who was dying anyway, only knew him for a few months before he was killed by a cursed mark on his hand along you ripping out his heart, because he asked for it. You have a chance I won't Klaus, take it" I begged him and he sighed before we reached a giant tree at the top of a hill surrounded in Vervain. Ansel volunteered to go get the flower but stopped him.
" oh no, you two are going to sort out your problems, while I get the flower" I told them before walking toward the tree, slipping on my ring in the process. I sighed before stepping into the field of vervain, as I did I winced slightly but ignored it, until I reached the tree. I looked before vampire jumping and grabbing a bunch of the strange plant. A few hours later, we sat around a campfire, and sighed before I saw something out of the corner of my eyes and got up." Molly, are you alright" Klaus asked but I ignored him as I saw Ari appear. My eyes widened as I watched her disappear into the trees before i ran after her, causing Klaus to call out for me to come back but I was already gone.
Ari stopped with her back to me and I frowned " Ari where have you been, I haven't seen you in months"
She turned to look at me and I noticed tears in her eyes." Ari, what is it"
" I watched my sister get sucked into oblivion Molly, I should be happy but...." she started crying. I reached out to hug her but she pulled away yelling" I wish I have could have saved her all those years ago" Then she disappeared making me sigh before I went back to the campsite, only to find Klaus with a very dead Ansel. My eyes widened and Klaus looked over at me with tears in his eyes. I ran over to him and he hugged me as he cried. As he had once done for me, I comforted him over the loss of his father, the one he grew up without.
