When lunch finally came, Asher already had gotten detention for informing a teacher about how they were wrong, and apparently you're not supppsed to correct a teacher. So whatever.

Asher sat down next to his best friends Dylan Mcintosh and Roman Dickson.

Dylan was texting his girlfriend who was away on an "experience trip" which is where you go to another country and learn about it. In this case, she was in Spain learning about its language.

Roman was reading the Harry Potter series for the 7th time. As of now, he was on book 4, The Goblet of Fire. It sounded very interesting, but that kind of stuff was more for Asher's sister, Juliana. She too was rereading the series.

"Anything new?" Asher finally asked after five minutes of silence.

"Oh, no not really," Roman said like he just noticed Asher was even there. "I just finished chapter 6," he said with a small laugh. "Does that count as news?"

"Coming from you? No," Asher replied. "How's Crystal?" Asher asked Dylan.

"Good," Dylan answered as he was smiling at a text. "She just got on a boat going to some ruin."

"Cool," Asher said as he began eating his lunch. Most people would say thay school lunch is disgusting or poisonous, but not at Davidson High. They were most popular for their homemade mac and cheese, but when you're in high school, it doesn't matter what it is, as long as it tastes good.

Just as Asher was finishing up his drink, he heard a familiar voice coming from a table two rows down. "Great," Asher said to himself. Roman and Dylan heard the voice too, and they were about to give Asher a bit of advice, but he was already coming up. It was Asher's older brother, Blake.

"How's lunch, loser?" Blake said slapping Asher on the head.

"It's enjoyable, unlike your company," Asher said picking up his stuff so he could leave.

"Where are you going? I just got here," Blake said shoving Asher back into his seat.

"I need to get to class," he replied trying to get away.

"Oh, no. We don't want you to be late to your little sing along class," Blake said with a little laugh from his little clique.

"First of all, it's called drama class, and we don't just sing, and second, I don't think you want me to tell Abigail who her boyfriend really is," Asher said. That got Blake's attention.

"Who exactly is her boyfriend really?" he asked.

"Oh, you know. A mean jock who doesn't really enjoy art, but more himself," Asher said getting up to leave.

"You wouldn't tell her that because that's lying, and mama's boy don't lie," Blake said.

"I will lie if I have to," Asher replied. "Watch me."
