Ari's POV
I left Blake, Drew, and BB out on the balcony. I started pacing in my room. "I have to break Coach Kelly in order for me to be part of the team," I nodded. I looked at the clock. It was already 6:30 that evening. I grabbed my bag and went down to the kitchen. "Hey Mom."
"Sweetie," Mom smiled. "Thought you probably haven't eaten the whole day."
"No," I sighed as she put a salad in front of me. I finished by 6:45. "I have to go. Can't be late for practice."
"You made the team?" Mom asked.
"Yeah," I smiled, hoping she couldn't see me lying through my teeth. "I'll be home after practice." I ran to the school gym and I got into the formation hoping the coach wouldn't see me. "Okay."
"Ari," Coach replied. I walked to the front of the group. "We already discussed this."
"Ari, stop," BB replied, bursting through the doors with Blake and Drew. "Don't do something you'll regret."
I nodded and ignored them. "Coach, what of one of your girls get hurt?" I asked. "I can help replace them. Please."
"My girls are well trained machines," Coach replied.
"Ow," Sabrina said as she held up her right leg. Coach looked at her. "Ow."
"Oh fine," Coach replied. "You're part of the team." The squad and I jumped for joy. "How fast can you learn a routine?"
"A day," I nodded. "Few hours minimum."
"You won't need to come to practice unless you are called for," Coach nodded. "You're dismissed."
"I did it," I replied. I ran up to my friends and we did a group hug. "I knew I could do it."
"I never doubted you," BB responded.
"Yes, you did," I nodded. "But that's okay because you only pushed me harder." I smiled. "But I know you mean well." Years passed and it was finally a year after our high school graduation. Blake, Drew, and BB had came over and I let them in my room. Dad was finally okay about me having guys over once I turned 16 so it wasn't a big deal as long as the door was opened. "I missed you guys so much the past year!"
"I missed you babe," Blake said giving me another hug as he sat next to me. "We've been together a week after you made the cheer team."
"You guys have been together for six years?" BB asked. "That's gotta be a new record."
"As long as he didn't do anything stupid when I went to study abroad the S.S. Louisiana," I replied.
"How was it studying marine biology?" Drew asked.
"It wasn't what I expected but worth it being in the ship," I smiled. "What did you guys do the whole year?"
"I spent more time with Drew in California," BB smiled.
"LA," Blake nodded. "We all did with two other guys but no need to get into that."
"No, what did you guys do?" I asked.
"We created a band," Drew nodded. "We toured the whole year."
"That's gotta be amazing," I nodded.
"Yeah, but, what really matters is that we are all here right now in Arizona," BB nodded. "Back at home with the old crew. We should just go and take a vacation to go somewhere."
"Oh, as much as I want to, I can't," I replied. "I mean, we can't."
"Why?" asked BB.
"It's official?" Blake asked. I nodded. "Well, we weren't going to tell you until we really made it official, but since it is, Ari and I ---"
"You're pregnant?!?" BB assumed.
"No," I nodded. "Dad would kill me if I was." I smiled. "Blake and I are going to go house shopping."
"With what?" Drew asked. "Your looks?"
"My money in my account that Dad just happened to give me because Mom decided to put their names together on her account," I nodded. "Since they share her account which had 2 billion more in her account, Dad gave me his."
"And how much do you have?" BB asked.
"A little over three billion dollars but like a few thousand is going toward the house and furniture," I smiled. "And then get a job so that savings are still being made rather than spending it all and not having anything to keep us going."
"Can we go house shopping with you?" BB asked.
"Thing is, our house, isn't going to be here," I replied. "We're going to New York but we will probably narrow it down to three and you can help choose from there." I smiled warmly at BB. "Blake and I already have our ticket. We fly out on Saturday."
"Two days from now," Drew replied.
Dad walked into the room. "Hey Dad," I smiled.
"I'm sure you have everything you need for New York," Dad nodded.
"Yes, Daddy. I remember everything you taught me," I smiled. "Let the performance business be scared of me."
"That's my girl," Dad smiled as he hugged me. "Blake, I hear you're going to be taking good care of my daughter."
"Yes, sir," Blake nodded.
"You kids have fun," Dad smiled and walked out.
"What he doesn't know is that I also got two opened ended tickets I bought with the cash I earned from my garage sell," I smiled. I got the two tickets from my suitcase and handed them to BB. "Hoping that you and Drew would want to come with."
"Of course," BB nodded. "I'm not letting my best friend choose a place to live in, alone."
"I was hoping you wouldn't," I smiled.
"She won't be alone though," Blake spoke. "She'll have me."
"She won't let me choose a place to live in without her help, babe," I replied. "BB's caring like that." I looked at BB. "Don't ever change for anyone, BB."
"Not planning to," BB smiled. "You're my sister."
"Blake, when we find a home, we need to find a job," I smiled. "Promise me that?"
