A flicker of white whipped through the trees. A laugh so light it brought shivers down my spine. The harsh wind sliced through me like a piece of paper. Then there was silence; birds erupted from the trees into the sky, a howl echoes through the trees. The wind bashes itself against my ears as my feet pound harder and faster on the ground. My eyes searching the trees for her, a snap of a branch near me, she is close, the game continues and I start to chase again. Her silvery, white coat shines in the moonlight. I tackle her to the ground. I win. Her breathing starts to even out and she licks my muzzle playfully. Slowly she starts to fall asleep snuggling into me. She looks so peaceful lying there in the clearing, I almost began to doubt if this was such a good idea. She seems so innocent and free as if she were free.

How could a person like her so innocent when her parents have done all of these crimes against my father?
