Missed you

A dark road, sparingly scattered streetlights lining it. Smoke gathers underneath each, allowing a view of the patterns the tendrils make. Alone, I am walking. Walking down the road but seemingly never getting closer to the end. I walk past the source of the smoke... A family barbecue. A symphony of laughter fades away as I get further and further from the house. Must be nice....
Reaching the end of the road, I am met with a familiar pair of eyes and everything else fades to black. I rush into the arms of a person I thought I wouldn't be seeing for a long time and had missed dearly, despite it only being a few months. We had gone from talking everyday to not at all because of her appearance. She won't be appearing anymore... I made sure of that.
"I missed y..." I blurted out but was stopped by soft flesh on mine. Pushing away, I mentally punched myself for saying something so inappropriate, making a mental note to work on self control. Why do I always do that? Lose any ounce of self control I have when I'm around hi..." I missed you too." The words interrupting my thought process as well as my attempt to separate from him. Warm arms are pulling me close. I feel.... Comforted... At home... Although I probably shouldn't. But at this point, I don't care. I allow myself to be consumed by it all. Allowing him to overtake my senses, overpower the voices of reason, until there is just

Silence.
