She stared at the pregnancy test in her hand. How could this have happened? She was pregnant, and the plus sign on the test stared back at her mockingly. She choked back the tears as she picked her phone next to her on the bathroom sink. Time for the moment of truth, she thought scrolling through her contacts. She tapped her boyfriend's name, and waited for him to pick up. She couldn't pin point how this had happened. But then it hit her- at the party. She must've gotten drunk! Finally Kellin, her boyfriend, answered.
"Hello?" He answered.
"I'm pregnant." Might as well speed up things, she thought grimly.
There was silence on the line. "What? How?" She could hear the rustling on the other end. "I don't know," she sniffled. She rested her head in her hands, her dark, brown hair falling around her head like curtains. "Maybe it was at the party? I don't know!" She broke down.
"Baby, baby, don't cry. We can handle a baby." His voice shook. She wanted to believe everything was alright, but she knew it wasn't. She had college to attend and Connie to take care of, seeing as how their parents didn't care enough. "I can't be a dad of two children," he said under his breath. She raised her head up and stared skeptically at no one in particular.
"What," she asked. He sighed loudly.
"Mallory," he said through another sigh. "This isn't the best time to tell you, but I've cheated on you." People always said that silence was golden, but it sure wasn't as it seemed.
"W-what's her name," she said, her lip quivering.
"Crystal. She hadn't gone to our school, if you're going to look. She had my son. His name is Kyle." She hung up at that very moment. He sent a picture immediately. She was a blonde and pale girl with a new born- he has kellin's nose. She stormed out of the bathroom and fell onto her bed. Times were going to change.
