Tie Breaker!

Chapter 1.

And then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of our forever.

I closed the book and just stared at the cover of Twilight Breaking Dawn, wondering why my life couldn’t work out like a fairy tale. I peered over to my alarm 2:36am. Stephenie Meyer what have you done to me? I should be sleeping not reading an entire novel at this time on a school night. I placed my book on my bedside table and rolled over to the other side of my queen size bed. And the last thing I remember is saying my prayers and falling into unconscious.

*beep* *beep* *beep* I jolted up looking around for the culprit who had awoken me from my fantastic dream. My alarm. I rubbed my eyes in attempt to awake from my sleepy stage. “Destiny?” my mother called as she opened my door, “why aren’t you ready darling?”’

“I sort of had a late night?”

“Stephenie Meyer again?”  My mother asked in disbelief knowing quite well how lost I got in books. I shrugged my shoulders and bit my lip. With a shake of my mother’s head and a smirk plastered on her face she smiled “well you have been working hard at school so I guess you could have the day off, just don’t tell Indianna why” and with that she walked gracefully out of my room to awaken my older sister who was home for a gap year off uni.

I fell back into a deep sleep dreaming of something unusual. I was awoken slowly with a shake I opened my eyes to meet my sisters deep green ones, she was surely a stunner. “Want to do something?” she asked with the biggest smirk on her face,

“Like what?”

“We could rob a bank, or commit murder or……oh oh oh go to the park” she said strong with sarcasm as if it was obvious.

“Okay give me half an hour?”

“Sure want a coffee”

“Please?”

I hopped out of bed, and walked in to have a quick shower in hope it would wake me up a tad. I trudged over to my walk in closet, which to me look empty, but really was quite full. I settled for a light blue lacey tank top, some high wasted brown shorts, and my favorite blue vans. I looked in the mirror and started combing my long light brown hair and through it up into a loose bun, then I applied some mascara around my deep ocean blue eyes and a light layer of foundation. I made my way into the kitchen my sister sitting at the bench with a hot cup of coffee in hand and mine beside her. We finished the hot coffee over small chat. After we decided to walk to the park doing the usual.

 I checked my Iphone for the time and it was 6:02pm “Indi we should head home”

“Sure but mum has a late shift and dad is on night shift so want to order pizza?”

“You read my mind”

“We will order now so it there when we get home?”

“Sounds fab”

The walk home was lit by the sunset and street lights, it was quite but comfortable, Indi continues her story about the cute boy in her biology class, a story I heard many times, but hey it made her happy so I always listened. And just on time we arrived home as the pizza guy was pulling into our drive way. We payed and headed inside to devour or meals. There was a knock on the door so I headed over to answer it, Josh. I should have known. “Where were you today?” he asked in a serious tone,

“Sisters day in” I shrugged

He just shook his head.

“Want to come in?”

“No mum wants me home early for my BIRTHDAY”

My eyes opened wide “what…wait it’s not your birthday”

“Yea I know I just wanted to make you feel bad”

“Arse, and I’m your best friend I wouldn’t miss your birthday”

“Good”

“Bye josh.”

“Cya love”

“I’m not your love.”

“How do you know?”

Heat rose to my cheeks. “Get outta here” I pushed him across the road into the direction of his house.

After dinner I headed to bed for an early night. Since there was no way mum would let me have tomorrow off as well.
