A/N: Surprise people! hahahahaha xx

"Come on! You'll gonna like this."

"I'm gonna hate this, Anthony."

"You hate everything, Charlie."

"Precisely!"

Anthony crossed his arms across his broad chest. It's bleeding unfair that he's so buff whilst I was so flabby. SO BLEEDING UNFAIR, I TELL YOU!

"What makes you say that, huh?" he challenged. I snorted rudely and crossed my arms across my chest.

"Because it's a school carnival for fuck's sake?" I said. Anthony just sighed at my stubbornness. He knows how stubborn I can get. Well, I was doing this out of pure choice of not going, not just because I want to get a reaction from this prat.

"Charles Thomas Evans," he said sternly, "we're already here. Might as well just go all the way."

I averted my gaze from him and looked at the school through the windshield of his car. There was a great purple banner above the double doors that says: XAVIER SCHOOL'S ANNUAL CARNIVAL. (Smashingly creative, I know.) There was loud music blasting from the field, meaning there's a music party there.

I generally hate parties. Or people. Or parties with people. They're too noisy, and too crowded, and they make me want to question why humans race even exist right now. I mean, it will take the long before human race would be wiped out due to the deafness from hearing too much loud music. Personally, I think people should be listening classical music. It's calm, and soothing, and not that noisy.

I looked back at Anthony when I felt his hand held mine and squeezed it in a comforting manner. He smiled. "Just do it for me as a friend. Please?"

I gulped. It's so clear in his eyes that he wants to say something more than that. I can't give him that.

Yes I had friendzoned Anthony, quite frankly because I'm not ready for some relationship. It doesn't work like that, relationships. Yes we did share a kiss six months ago, and yes we did share a lot more when we let our guards down. But still it doesn't mean we're exclusively a couple. Relationships don't work like that; that in a span of a simple kiss we are instantly a couple.

As what Anthony had said, we came from Narnia, not a freaking Disney castle.

In fairness to Anthony, he seemed to be understanding about all of this. Even it is clear that he would be rather more than that; he agreed that we should stay friends. Just friends. Well, don't get me wrong—I like Anthony in that way (he's handsome, caring, smart, funny; what's not to like?) It's just that, I'm still not ready for it.

After being subjected to the power of his puppy dog eyes, I nodded reluctantly and Anthony grinned like Christmas just came a little early this year. He stepped out of the car and opened the door on my side like the gentleman that he was. I blushed profusely.

"Oh, shut your mush," I grumbled when he smiled at me toothily.

"Sorry," he gushed and held out his hand. "Shall we?"

"Do I have a choice?" I groused but took his hand nonetheless.

-.-.-

For a school that is planned by a bunch of Neanderthal gits that only share a single, dysfunctional brain cell between them, this carnival seem to be okay. Well, more than okay since Anthony and I really enjoyed the whole thing. We went through different booths and rides, like the bumper cars (which is very fun when Anthony and I conspired to sandwich bump other riders and watch their reaction).
