[ They're gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you]

— Teenagers, My chemical Romance

First days of school were far more important than the day of the graduation. That was the week that decided how your whole school semester was going to be and since I was in my second year in Abbey Mount Sixth Form, about to enter University. I had to make the most of it.

Dad thought the best way to celebrate back to school was with his home made Caribbean Casserole. Casserole made me gassy but I still ended up eating five plates like the greedy pig I was. The next day, It was back to hell hole for me. My younger brother, Harry who was entering year nine was far more thrilled than I was because he got up an hour earlier.

After having my bath, I slipped on the Abbey Mount Sixth Form Uniform which consisted of a black skater skirt, a white button up tee, black tie with the Abbey Mount logo on it and a dark blue blazer. Occasionally, students wore a dark blue sweater instead of the blazer but Mondays everyone was expected to wear a blazer. My blazer had a white outline at the edge of the lapel since I was a prefect.

Being a prefect in Abbey Mount was a huge deal since our head, Mr. Elrick Crawlton, was so difficult. He hated everything and anything though he mostly focused on the jocks. Rumor has it, he got bullied by jocks back in his day so now he was back for revenge. Mondays were also his talk-for-a-whole-hour days and since it was the first day, I'm expecting to see people lie on the floor.

I grabbed my bag and sprinted down the stairs, stealing a pizza slice from my Dads plate before placing a kiss on his cheek.

"Have a good day" He waved. I walked hand-in hand to the bus stop with my little brother Harry, whilst he chatted away on his phone. I snapped my fingers at his face, his gaze shifted from his phone to me and he cocked his eyebrow.

"What?" He frowned, tucking his phone in his pocket. His tie hung loosely around his neck, the wind blowing his curly brown hair everywhere. Unlike me he had forest green eyes, which matched perfectly with his milky skin.

As the sun rays hit his face, I stare down at the familiar pointy nose, with a pair of prominent cheek bones and dimples to go. The wrinkles around the corner of his eyes come to show as he stared back at me.

"What GCSE subjects are you going to pick?" A gleam passed through his eyes then he pulled out a pen and paper from his bag.

Harry was at that stage of his life that decided where he was going to next and he wasn't even ready.

"What subjects did you do?" He asked writing them down.

"Mathematics, English and ICT obviously then I picked Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Design and Tech, Geography and Psychology"

He gaped "You did nine subjects?"

"You need five A stars to enter sixth form, the more subjects the easier it is" He bit his lip and continued writing. After a few minutes he shot me a grin, waving the paper at my face. I yanked it from his hand, narrowing my eyes to read his hideous hand-writing.

I nodded my head in approval of his subjects, he picked the same subjects as me but with French. He was really good at French so It was a good choice for him to add it. I gave him back the paper as the bus got to a halt in front of us.

We both entered the bus, flashing smiles at Mr Wesley, the bus driver. I ambled my way down to my usual seat at the back, flashing a smile at the usual faces that smiled at me and some first years.
