Lab Rats: Chase and Kate

Chapter 2

Kate's POV:

Chase was nice enough to walk me to class, which, coincidently, was his class. He was teaching sparring. He had his hand on the small of my back the whole way there, but removed it before we entered the classroom.

"Good afternoon everyone!! Today we are going to be sparring without using our bionics. So this is purely hand to hand combat." Chase said.

I found a spot a little ways away from everyone and made myself comfortable.

"Alright first up...lets have...Sebastian and...Kate!!" Chase said.

I looked up, hearing my name. Sebastian was already standing on the floor.

"Kate..stand up." Chase said.

Slowly, I stood up and walked over. I looked up at sebastian. He was a lot taller than me. I'm only 5'1 to his 6'0.

"Um Chase? I don't think this is fair." I said.

"Now why isn't it fair?" Chase asked.

I stood next to Sebastian so the height difference stood out, then looked back at Chase with a look that said please don't make me do this.

"Come on Kate, don't wimp out. You can do this." Chase said.

Reluctantly, I looked at Sebastian and he looked down at me. Then we both backed away and got in our starting position.

"Sebastian, you ready?" He asked looking at Sebastian.

He nodded.

"Kate...you ready?" He asked, looking at me.

I gave a little squeak, but I nodded.

"Alright..three...two...one...SPAR!" Chase announced.

Sebastian and I circled around one another, throwing little punches and grabs.

"Come on! Someone actually do something!" Chase said.

I looked at him nervously, and looked back at Sebastian just in time to see him ram into me and take me to the ground. He was trying to pin my arms when I took the opportunity to punch him in the nose, which instantly began to bleed.

"You bitch!" He said to me.

I squeaked and put my arms up as he began to bombard me with punches, I could feel the bruises forming on my arms.

He grabbed both my arms and slammed them to the ground, squeezing them as hard as he could.

"Sebastian that's enough!!" Chase said, pulling him off me.

Sebastian turned around and pushed Chase out of the way, and began walking toward me. I began scrambling back wards on all fours. He knelt down on top of me and everything went dark.
