Chapter 5:

Steph's P.O.V

The wind silently blows through my hair as I sit on my back porch. My hands tremble holding to a piece of paper. I watch the forest slowly move with the sound of the wind. Slowly my eyes fall to the piece of folded paper. It was dated January 1, 2012.

I unfolded the letter reading it in my head.

'Stephanie please hear me. I know you told me not to. Many, many times to not fall in love with you, but I couldn't help it. I fell hard when I first saw you. Then as we got closer it grew bigger. I'm sorry, but when I told you last week why did you walk away? Now you're not talking to me. Do you feel the same way and hiding it. I know you would do that to some people. Don't do it to me please...

Katerina Rodriguez.'

A small tear rolled down my cheek. She wrote this a year ago and I did feel the same way. I still do! I want to be with her so badly, but my mind didn't let me. It repeated that it will be a disgrace to your family and friends! It broke my heart not speaking with her.

My heart was starting to race as my mind strolled along to the kiss. Having her arms wrapped around me. It felt like a dream until my mind took control. Pulling me way from her and just leaving. It started filling me with anger.

White flames started on my hands and consume the paper. Everything was happening so fast. I was back in reality when I felt a rush of water on my hands. Looking up was my mother.

"Are you crazy? You can't use your powers open like this! Especially out of rage." She said in a serious tone.

Looking back down to the now burned and wet paper. All that was left was 'love'. "Love." Softly whispering to my self. Smiling to myself I know what I have to do. What I should do. This power wasn't to separate us. It's to bring us together.

I will spend my final days with her. Till judgment day I will spend with her. The one I love. At least whoever dies will die knowing that we loved eachother. I must tell her and tell her soon.
