Chapter 1: Through Space

"Please hurry or else...." a girl with long messy raven black hair cried. Her raven black hair flew in fierce wind, hiding her tear stained face as tears dripped from her cheeks onto the pitch black ground as she appeared before a girl with maroon red hair and emerald green eyes.

The girl looked at the blackette with confusion and curiousity. She was dressed in odd looking clothes and she was wounded with scrapes and cuts. Then she walked towards the blackette and asked, "Who are you?"

"You do not need to know....but please hurry up.... He needs your help....Fuyumi." The girl pleaded.

"Who do you want me to help?" Fuyumi asked, her brows arch in confusion. The girl before her begin to fade away slowly. "Wait!! You haven't answer me yet! Who is this 'he' and how do you know my name?!"

"That you will know very soon....perhaps sooner than you will expect....My name is...." The girl disappeared in a sudden flash without finishing her line.

Fuyumi stared at the empty space in confusion.

"Come back here!!" Fuyumi shouted as she stood up from her seat suddenly, completely disrupting the class.

"Fuyumi, is there something important that you have to say that's more important than my class?" The teacher asked.

"Ah...Sorry, Sensei. I was thinking about something and then things just happen." Fuyumi explained.

"Is that so? I hope it's just as important as my class or far more important." The teacher said as she continued teaching.

"It might be, I mean it's family issues." Fuyumi lied, mentally rolling my eyes at her.

"Well this is class time, caring about your family is great but you need to concentrate on class right now." She said as she continue teaching.

'As if I care. But what is with that dream, I keep getting it recently and it gets more and more realistic each time. I'm even starting to get goosebumps every now and then.' Fuyumi thought.

.....

"Haha. You got scolded in class today, Fuyumi. Even though you ace it when it comes to martial arts, you completely suck at staying awake." A red hair girl said as she left school with Fuyumi.

"Don't know, don't care, don't give a crap. Fuwa's class is always boring to begin with." Fuyumi said as she stuff an orange flavor lollipop into her mouth. "You know better than anyone that I hate school more than anything, Kairi."

"I can't wait til your mom finds out about this." Kairi grins.

"Nah, I bet you she's not even going to say anything. If there's a choice between martial arts and school, I bet one million dollars that she will tell me to pick martial arts or she will send me to an early death." Fuyumi sighs as she place her hand behind her head. Then she stopped in front of a store.

"What caught your eyes this time?" Kairi asked.

Fuyumi simply pointed at the silver bracelet on display. "We're going into the store." She said as she drag Kairi into the store with her. Then she walk up to one of the workers. "I would like to have that silver bracelet on display."

"Sure, give me a second to get it." The worker said as she smiled and walked off to get the bracelet. Then she came back with a small box. "It's two dollars."

Fuyumi reached into her bag, pull out her wallet and gave the worker two dollars then left with her bracelet. Then she walked out of the thrift shop happily with Kairi behind her, sighing. She took the bracelet out of the box and clasped it around her left wrist. Then held it up where sunlight would shine on it. "It's so pretty, Kairi!" Fuyumi exclaimed, almost jumping up and down

"Save it, Fuyumi." Kairi sighed rubbing her forehead, feeling an unwelcomed headache. "Why...are you always interested in these things? Ever since the first day of middle school, you set eyes on the weirdest looking items." She sighed.

 Fuyumi turned around and walked backwards with a smile. "Beeeeecauuuuse who wants to be like other girls with everyday being make-up, dressing like dolls, eating like someone's glaring at them when they eat, and yeta yeta yeta." She stated, twirling in a circle. Kairi sweatdropped, holding back the urge to scream at her friend.

"HURRY! PLEASE HURRY!!!"

Fuyumi looked around and scratched her ears. Then looks around. "Kairi, did you hear anything....?" Kairi raised her eyebrow. "Like a scream telling you to hurry?"

"What are you talking about?" Kairi asked, suspiciously. Fuyumi had play these tricks on her when they were younger, just to scare her. "I'm not falling for these tricks anymore. Hmph!"

Fuyumi turned away from her as the voice became louder and more desperate. She looked for the person who is calling for help. Her friend didn't hear it. She rubbed her ears and continued to look around. She wasn't able to locate where exactly the voice came from. It was very loud and clear to her, but the voice seems like an echo that came from all the directions she looked at. She couldn't figure it out. Suddenly, her bracelet let out a weird flash of light.

"Yumi, watch out!!!!" Kairi shouted, reaching her hand out to Fuyumi as she got enguffed by the strange yet bright light. When the light vanished, Fuyumi was no longer standing there. She had vanished with the light.
