"I love you mommy" A hopeful child whispers to the dark.
The child waits and waits for a response.
When the child gets nothing, The child smiles, and cries silently.
"I love you Daddy." The child cries, no longer hopeful.
The child sees other kids with parents who are happy and loving.
This child wishes that she could have the same.
She hungers for the love, that she will never have.
A parental love that can only come from Her parents.
She wants a mother who loves and thinks of her as her beautiful daughter.
Not a mother that ignores her and treats her like dirt.
This sad child has forgotten how to love, and soon she forgets who she is.
She has forgotten herself.
