Calcium-rich is a skeleton that lives in the underworld (obviously).

He has a wife named Spooky hip bone and a son named Spooky knee bone.

Knee bone was named after his mother, mostly because they looked the same.

Rich is a volunteer soldier in the skeleton Army. He served for a year last halloween and will serve again this year.

It was late September, which ment he would be leaving soon.

For now, he lives in a darker part of the underworld, away from the fire, so he and his family can rest in peace. They live in a small crimson house with two bedrooms, a bath, living room, and kitchen/dining room.

While Hip bone and Calcium-rich were at work, Rich's brother, Spooktacular cranium, would stay at with Knee bone even though he was old enough to stay home himself.

Hip bone and Rich are very over protective of Knee bone and don't like when he is left alone or when he gets into fights.

Cranium, on the other hand, he lost his wife when the battle waged toward the fires where Cranium used to live. He was out drinking when this happened and his wife died.

Knee bone doesn't like his uncle, he has a disorder that makes him think he's Mexican and he smokes when he goes over to their house.

Knee bone doesn't mind him smoking though, he can't smell it.

Cranium and Knee bone sat around at the house, waiting for his parents to get home.

The two of them started to get into an argument about the war. Knee bone wants to join but Cranium said exactly what Calcium-rich said, which was no.

" It's too dangerous and you could get killed." Complained Cranium.

"How?" Knee bone protested back. "Is that even possible?"

Cranium paused for a minute, confused. "That's a good question." He replied.

The front door opened and Hip bone walked in.

"I'm home." She exclaimed.

Hip bone was wearing a loose fitted nurse outfit, since that was her job. She help the soldiers from the war.

Cranium quickly put out the cigarette in his hand and stood up, his dread locks fly across his skull.

"Your boy was talking about joining the war." He wispered to her as he walked by.

Hip bone sighed as Cranium turned the brass nob behind her and opened the door. He walked out, leaving the door open.

Soon after he left, Calcium-rich walked up the cold, stone pathway and into their house.

"Hey Knee bone, Hip bone." He said, kissing his wife. Well, it really wasn't a kiss, just an awkward headbutt - or teeth butt.

"How was work?" Hip bone asked, walking into the kitchen.

Calcium-rich worked at a McC-Goth when he wasn't in the war and got paid very little for it. Together, the two of them could barely keep themselves from starving.

"Wasn't too busy today," He replied. "Got paid today though."

He set down three dead-mans coins on the dining table.

"Good," Knee bone said, entering the kitchen. " 'cause we're out of rat soup."

"Satan forbid we don't have rat soup," Hip bone replied sarcastically.

Calcium-rich set out a few legs from - something.

They all sat down and began to eat in silence.

"Eh hem," Hip bone heaved out, getting Rich's attention. "So.. Knee bone was talking about joining the war again today."

Calcium-rich dropped his fork beside their paper plates.

"What have I told you, young man?" Rich started. "Just thinking of you joining the army chills me to the bone."

"But dad," Knee bone complained. "I'm 117 years dead. I can do what I want!"

Calcium-rich pointed a bony finger at him. "We've talked about this before, and no means no."

That shut Knee bone up. He discarded his plate and tried stomping up the stairs to his room, which only sounded like a dog pattering across a hardwood floor.

He went into his room and slammed the door behind him, which did make a loud crash.

The walls were painted black and covered in war movie posters such as; Dead does it, The longest night, Saving private ribcage, Where skeletons dare, and many others.

There was a desk to the far right of the room with a wooden chair. A single window was the only source of light that shown across the dull room. In the center was a single, wooden coffin with a pillow inside.

Knee bone laid down in his bed (coffin) and crossed his arms across his chest as if he looked dead, well...

He soon fell asleep thinking things would be different this Halloween.
