Hi, my name is Malduna Sirisanea. I'm a Sri Lankan but I live in Australia. As a kid I loved cricket and I was doing a great job. All my life I had loved football (although I was not good at it). At the age of 13 I had a horrific arm injury that ended my cricketing career. Since I couldn't use my arm, I used my legs. When I was 14 I joined a football club. I started off as a goalkeeper but that didn't work out. The next year I was a right-back. My coach saw my potential and put me as a striker the next season. I thrived at that position scoring 66 goals in 38 games. I immediately caught media attention and at the age of 18 I joined Melbourne Victory. I was doing a wonderful job there and earned myself a place in the starting lineup. My talent was so good that in the January transfer window me and two of my mates (Jack Filsburg and Carlos Siovevsky) each got a transfer offer from Atlètico Madrid. And that is where I start my story.
