Lisa's POV
I can't believe my eyes. Lauren has just disappeared in front of me. How is that even possible? The women in the nice clothing burst into laughter, then wipes a tear from her eyes.

"Oh girls, if only you could see the looks on your faces."

"What did you do to her!?" Dani screamed.

"It's not what I did. She did it to herself. She said she was invisible and now she is." We glare at her and she sighs. She walks to us and the men holding us position us so that we are in a circle.

"It's a trick of the light girls. There is a new design that I have been working on. If you look up at the ceiling you can see specially designed mirrors that bounce the light around a specific object, in this case Lauren. However, Lauren is the first person that we have tried it on so it could have some negative side affects in the future. I think that might be why she was in so much pain before she disappeared. Oh well, that just means that there is more testing to do." She said all of this in a whisper.

"So Lauren is still here?" Amy asks.

"Oh of course, don't be silly. We just can't hear her because the light reflection affects the sound waves directly around her. She truly is invisible until we turn the machine off."

"Can she hear us?" Christina asks.

"Not very well I'm afraid. But I wanted to be on the safe side when I told you all this." So that was why she was whispering and so close to us. Dani looks infuriated and tries to kick the lady. The lady steps back calmly and the man holding Dani holds her tightly so she can't escape.

"You're insane lady! Lauren doesn't deserve any of this."

"On the contrary dear, she deserves all of it." What did that mean? The woman strides away from us and claps her hands twice. The air near her starts to reform and Lauren's form starts to fade back into reality. She is standing upright a few paces from her original position, but as the last of her form fades into existence she collapses onto her side, holding her stomach and resting her head against the concrete.

"Dizzy dear? That's alright, it must be a shock coming back. Take a few minutes to catch your breath." Lauren does so gladly. Her forehead is coated with a layer of sweat. Her face is still pale. Her breathing is still sporadic. I can imagine that her heart is racing. How much more are they going to do to her? The woman glances at her watch.

"Right on schedule. Alright your turn." The lights flicker one last time and the boy from the rafters is standing in the woman's place. What was he going to do? He pulls out a wireless pair of earphones and places them on her head. He then kneels down next to her and holds her arms and legs down.

"Don't make any noise Lauren. You know what that will get you." He nods discreetly towards the shadows and suddenly Lauren is writhing on the ground in agony. Her screams echo through the whole warehouse and only get louder as she continues. She thrashes and flails about, tears running down her cheeks. Finally her screaming stops and the warehouse is silent as a grave. Lauren is still writhing on the floor but now she is biting her lip hard enough to draw blood. The boy looks into the shadows again and Lauren's thrashing ceases. He gets up off the ground and pulls the earphones off of her.

"What's the lesson Lauren?" She just shakes her head, tears still streaming down her face. Blood stains her ears. It is painful to witness. The boy motions his hands and the whole crew of people walks out of the shadows. The boy walks over to join them.

"I think I've changed my mind Lauren. Go ahead and tell your sisters the rest of your stories. They need to know how much damage you can cause. How much pain you can deliver. How worthless, ugly, invisible and loud you can be." The woman emphasizes each word and Lauren flinches each time. The woman turns on her heels and disappears into the shadows. Before she completely disappears I see a logo on the back of her shirt. A blood red circle with a tear running down the middle with the word REBELLION in between the pieces of the circle.
