Chapter 34

Tris' POV

"Mommy look what we made today in class we had to draw a picture of our family. You see there goes you and me in the middle and then daddy." Claudia say pointing at the stick figures as I buckle her in.

" That is amazing baby girl now how about since it is Friday you go spend the night a aunt Chris' house just for tonight."

" Yea let's go."

"Thank you so much for taking her tonight Chris."

"Yea it's no problem and is there something wrong are you okay?" Chris ask.

" Yea I'm, but I have to go I'm sure Tobias is waiting or looking for me." I say trying to put on the best fake smile I could pull off.

"Bye Mommy." Claudia say coming to the door with me.

" I will see you tomorrow okay and be good for Auntie Chris."

"I will and give daddy a hug for me." Claudia blows kisses at me as I walk out of the door and pretend to catch them. It only takes me a few minutes to get to my house. I take a deep breath in and out before I walk into the house.

" Hey babe I was just getting ready to call you." Tobias says as he takes off my jacket for me.

" Ohh my bad I went and dropped off Claudia at Chris' house for the night so how was your day." I ask walking into our kitchen as Tobias follows me.

" Ohh you know just same boring day."

" Ohh really you sure you didn't see anybody today?" I ask looking straight into his eyes.

" Yea I'm sure and are you feeling okay?" Tobias say looking right back at me.

" No I'm not and what was Shauna doing here earlier!" I finally yell getting upset as the seconds go by.

"Nothing at all."

" Well than if it was nothing why were you lying about it." I say lowering my voice just a little.

" Tris just forget about it okay." Tobias says standing up in front of me.

"Four don't you dare I have tried forgetting about it ever since High school and I'm done with it. So help me I will walk out of this house and leave your ass here if you don't stop lying to me!"

"Damn it Tris I was with Shauna talking about your ring okay are you happy now. I needed help picking out a wedding ring for you that is why I was late picking up Claudia and today she stopped by to give me my card back we grab the wrong cards at the ring shop." As Tobias explains I feel dumber and dumber by the minute and I feel like I have made a fool out of myself.

"Tobias."

" Ohh don't you Tobias me I see that you still don't trust me at all so now if you don't mind I am going to order pizza."

" Tobias I'm sorry."

"Yea Yea whatever just give me a minute." Tobias walks off and soon I hear the front door open and close and following I hear his car start up and pull off. I start to cry and I sit in the kitchen thinking of way to say sorry to Tobias.
