Sometimes I find myself asking

"Are you here?"

A reply is what I always hear

But I fear

That one day there will be no noise

Sometimes I find myself asking

"Are you listening? Open your ear."

A reply is what I always hear

But I fear

That one day there will be no noise

Sometimes I find myself asking

"Can you hear me from that bier?"

A reply is what I always hear

But I fear

That one day there will be no noise

Sometimes I find myself asking

"Why wasn't this seen by the seer?"

A reply is what I always hear

But I fear

That one day there will be no noise

Sometimes I find myself asking

"Why do you still reply? It's been a decade since you decided to disappear"

But I fear

That one day there will be no noise.

Sometimes I find myself asking

"Why did I land myself in this white room for just talking to the one I endear?"

But I fear

That one day there will be no noise.

A/N

Explanation:

Based off of two lovers. One of them dies, and the other slowly goes insane. The living one starts hearing voices and connects them with his/her lover. But months after the death of the one, she/he still is talking to them as if they never left. The family is worried about the living one, so they send him/her away to somewhere where they can obtain proper care for their mental disability.
