*Breanna's P.O.V*

As Rocky, Amanda, Anna, and Mary went inside the armory, Erika and I stood watch outside. I held my axe so tight my knuckles began to turn white. Just thinking that in the midst of all this shit, we aren't alone. It's not bad that they happen to be extremely attractive. I giggled at my own thoughts and fanned myself from the scorching heat.

"So, you really think their more survivors out there?" Erika said dropping the tip of her spiked bat to the gravel filled ground. "Maybe you where hallucinating. You know, because of the heat."

"I wouldn't hallucinate about someone saving my life Erika." I all but spat at her. She looked up from the ground with anger in her eyes while she raised her bat from the ground into the palm of her hand.

"Okay, sorry. This heat is getting to my head." I mumble as I raise my hands in defeat.

We have to be in the middle of summer; I feel like my skin is melting off the bone. I glance around and notice there isn't a drop of shade around, only inside the armory. I sigh in frustration as I take my bandana from my back pocket from my shorts and wipe off all the sweat from my face.

"Maybe we could stand in the shade for a little while over there." Erika said breathlessly as she pointed her bat toward the thick forest.

Wait, is THE Erika actually giving us a break?

"Yeah yeah, pick up your jaw. You'll catch flies that way." She said over her shoulder and she jogged over to the shade. I followed behind her as I scoped around for any walkers.

"Clear!" She said from up ahead.

The sound of a tree branch snapping brought our attention to the rustling bushes beside us as we stood beside each other. Erika glanced at me and I gave her a light nod as I held my axe a bit tighter. She ducked behind the nearest tree as did I and we waited to strike.

"Im telling you, you're just hearing things! Their aint no girls here." A deep voice whispered from the behind the bush.

"No, I heard em. I aint crazy! I'm telling you, it's that girl!" another voice said.

"Whatever, cant we just go back?" a more feminine voice wined.

"No, not until we find em." The second voice said. Erika looked over and me and shook her head.

"Too risky Bree." She mouthed. I nodded my head and closed my eyes, waiting for them to leave. We heard a few more twigs snap but this time, closer.

"I think I heard em over here!" They yelled. I gulped and turned towards Erika with wide eyes.

A lean boney looking girl stood behind her with a knife in her right hand raised above her head.

"Erika!" I yelled but it was too late. The girl had sliced her down the back.

Erika cried out in pain. "Breanna!"

"You bitch!" I cried. The girl grinned at me as she turned to walk away. I ran over to Erika to see if she was okay but she waved me off. "Go get that bitch, show her who she just messed with." She croaked through tears. I nodded and took off after her.

"Dropped something?!" I yelled before grabbing her by she shoulders and throwing her back. She cried out from shock and fell to the ground as I straddled her waist.

"Get off me!" she wined as she thrashed around violently. I grabbed her wrists and pinned them under my knees as I punched her in the face.

"You fucked with the wrong girl." I growled as I got up and kicked her in the stomach. She cried out in pain "Help me!"

Before I knew it I was lifted up spun around to face Mr. Mysterious. His dark tanned skin was glowing from a light layer of sweat from the heat. His features looked as if they were carved from stone because they were so smooth and delicate.

"Hey." He smiled. I looked up at him with a cool expression; my instincts on high alert.

"Let me go." I said with confidence.

"Now why would I do that, you hurt my friend pretty badly."

"Let. Me. Go." I said each word every slowly.

"No." he said matter-of-factly. I shrugged and punched his atoms apple. His eyes widened and he let me go, grabbing his throat as he gasped for air. I slapped both of his ears and rammed my knee into his face when he doubled over. As he cried out in pain I turned my attention back to the girl who was now on her feet and barreling towards with her knife in hand. I duck as she wings the knife towards my neck and grab her out stretched wrist. I twist until I hear a loud crack and her shriek of pain. She drops the knife and I jab her in the jaw causing her to bite her tongue. Hard.

"You're fucking crazy!" she gargled through bloody pieces of her tongue. Two strong arms grab me from behind restraining my arms.

"Let go!" I yell.

Has no one heard all this screaming and yelling? I'm surprised we aren't being mauled my walkers right now!

"Calm down!" he says.

Dammit, I guess I didn't hit him hard enough.

I go into a fighting stance and bring my torso forward causing him to release his death grip on me. I crush my heel into his left foot and wrench my elbow back until I hit his solid stomach. When he bent forward grabbing his stomach I jumped back and kicked him in the nose; breaking it instantly. I turn back to face the girl but she's gone. I look around for a moment but quickly give up and run back to Erika who was now leaning against the tree she was hiding behind before.

"You okay?" I asked looking at the cut on her back. I wasn't that deep but she was bleeding and I needed to get her out of there before walkers started to show up.

"Yeah I'm fine, just hurts like hell." She strained. She may have had a smile on her face but, she was in a shit load of pain. I grabbed her hand and yanked her forward toward the armory.

"We gotta get back before we get ambushed. That bitch could come back with more people." I hissed.

"Breanna!" Erika whispered and pulled me to the ground.

A walker -no- two walkers walk right past us and toward the mystery guy. Without thinking I pull out my hand gun and shoot both of them in the head.

Shit just what we need.

Just as the shots went off I heard more and more grunting and growls coming from deeper within the forest. I run forward, and grab one of the walkers; dragging it to where Erika was sitting. I lay it down carefully on top of her to cover her scent from the oncoming walkers. After, I take the second walker and fling it on top of mystery guy I tackle Erika and the walker; pulling them both on top of me.

Erika and I watch as about a thousand pair of feet, some broken, wobble past us and toward the armory.

Oh god no...not the group
