I felt his breath on the back of my neck, and pulled awway from him. As I opened my mouth to explain he interrupted me
" araur, I know, and I am here to help. Your caus is good so I will help." he smiled again, his white teeth glintedin the dim light of the candles.
" we better go , befor the king finishes his meal" I say, looking awkwardly down towards the floor.
" come on then" he replied leading the way down the corridor. I followed him making sure to be as silent as possable and I coughed as if to signal he does the same. He seemed to get the message as his footsteps quietened as we aproached the sid door that led to the stables. He poked his head out of the doorway and gave an abrupt notd, showing that the coast was clear. We entered the small courtyard and jogged across to the stables. As I aproached, I heard the familiar winnie of midnight, my black mare. As I entered the stable I caught a glimpse of a stable boy, cleaning the stall next to mine.
" pleas leave", I ordered and wached as he leant the Broom against the wall, bowed, and scuttled away.
Midnight is the fastest, largest and best trained horse in the kingdom, and that was saying something as our kingdom was known as kapilli kingdom of the ocean beasts in kalin- language of the northern men.
Our secret ( actually not realy, everyone knows) is that we have Warter horse, known as kelpies. They are faster than normal horse and they are more aggressive aswell. Kelpies will be aggressive towards anything that they don't know. The thing about kelpies is that they are shape shifters and we have to tame them with blood to persuade them to stay as a horse form.
I leaped on to midnight and nudged her ears slightly and sent her rocketing forward. Hay was sent flying as alex shot up to my side. I sped up to a canter and Alex copied, as we aproached the gates I veered to the left and leaped the Lowe walls of the guards hut. I could hear shouts and footsteps as some guards tried to follow, but we lost them as soon as we entered the forest.
