Chap. 29

Tia's POV

"Connor!" I yell trying to wake him up.

"I'm up!" He says jumping up and gets out of the bed.

"When are we going to start driving again?" I ask anxiously.

"After breakfast." He says smiling.

"How do you manage being in such a good mood after just waking up?" I ask.

"I dunno." He says and shrugs before running out of the bedroom.

I quickly change in the bathroom and do my hair and makeup.

"You ready yet?!" Connor yells out from the little kitchen.

"Yep!" I say walking in.

I saw him drinking Arizona tea and eating toast with Nutella on it.

"Yummy!" I say.

"I made you a piece." He says pointing to the seat across from here.

True enough, an Arizona and a plate with the toast on it was sitting there.

"Wow, thanks." I say as I took my seat.

We sat silently finishing our breakfast so we could continue our journey back to L.A.

"Hey, Connor, where are we?" I ask.

"Casper." He answers.

"So a third of the way?" I ask.

"Yup, we'll stop in St. George and then after a night sleep, we'll head to L.A." He says smiling.

"Thank you so much!" I say.

"For what?"

"Driving me, saving me, helping me, planning this whole trip and... everything!"

"No problem, you're like my little sister now."

"You're the best big brother a girl could wish for." I say smiling.

"Even better than Justin?" He asks surprised.

"Well, in the period of time we've known each other, I've told you way more about me than I did when I first met Justin. I didn't trust him as fast as I started trusting you."

"Oh, well yay!"

"Can we go now? Please..." I say sweetly.

"Yeah, c'mon! You're driving this part though." He says passing the keys to his car to me.

"I'm fine with that."

"Connor, we need to stop for gas." I say glancing at the dash.

"Okay, I'll pay, it is my car."

"I'm driving though!" I point out.

"So?"

"Whatever. You pay and I'll call Justin. Thanks for charging my phone for me by the way."

"No problem!" He says getting out of the car to fill it up.

I get out and stand to the side.

"Hello? Tia! Are you okay?" Justin fires.

"I'm still fine." I say and laugh.

"Good."

"Well, me and Connor just left the hotel we stayed at last night in Casper. Well we left an hour ago but we're stopped right now."

"When we will you guys get here?"

"We're driving to St. George, checking into a hotel, then in the morning finishing the drive and arriving in L.A."
